The Call Continues

We all know that the wind of change is ushering in a transition from the old to the new. A new thing is now upon us! The clarion call has been uttered from heaven to rise and shine, to awake from our slumber and put on the light of Christ. There is no middle road. This is not the time to be spiritually sleeping or passive, complacent or inactive. We are in the days that you are either part of a great advance or you will fall behind. The path of the righteous always requires change, a change that leads to more of God’s light and glory, for “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18).

God is mobilizing an army to make one of the greatest advances the world has ever seen.  The word mobilizes means to organize resources and people into a state of readiness for active service in war.  God is marshaling an army and he will lead it. Many are now seeing a dark cloud arising on the horizon that is advancing and in preparation; the call has been made to ready the troops for deployment.

The Lord of Armies and the Tribe of Judah – Praise

One of the divisions that God is mobilizing is the tribe of Judah. Judah means praise. Before God sends out His army, He always sends out the praise dancers, worshipers and musicians. As praise ascends to heaven, the glory of God comes down for God inhabits the praises of His people. Christians everywhere are feeling the Lord tugging on their hearts to participate in God’s worshiping army. These worshiping warriors, like King David, are radical lovers of God. These minstrels of worship and praise open the portals of heaven for the King of Glory to come in. They know that their weapons of warfare are not carnal, but divine. There is no greater power in the universe than the King of Glory, the Lord of Hosts.

Lift up your heads…and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah (Psalms 24:7-8, 10).

The Lord of Hosts means Lord of armies. This title is mentioned in the Bible approximately two hundred and ninety times, about ten times more than the sum of all other revelations of the name of God. It is this revelation of God that is most frequently unveiled to man in the Bible. The Lord will once again will be revealed to the Church as the victorious warrior, the great “I am” as Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Nor are the angels of heaven like the little Gerber babies with wings, but are fierce warriors of righteousness clothed in light. Angels are on assignment as warriors in the service of the Lord and they know how to fight.  The armies of heaven are being marshaled to fight with the Lords’ armies on earth to make a great advance for the Kingdom of God.  We are living in exciting times with the greatest opportunity to rise to the occasion and answer the call to join the ranks of God’s army as one of the champions of God.

In respect to this, many are hearing the call of the Lord to “Come and ride with Me.” Christians are called to confront the kingdom of darkness. They do this by abiding in Christ who is their armor of light. Light is more powerful than darkness, and the light of Christ which has life, is greater than any darkness on earth that spreads death. We are called to be the light of the world to bring forth life – the life of Christ.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lust thereof (Romans 13:12, 14)

It might be hard for Christians to see themselves as a warrior of Christ, but the apostle Paul tells us to endure as soldiers of the Cross.  He also exhorts us to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, “for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Eph. 6:12).”

Using the metaphor of the armor that a Roman soldier wore in his day, Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to withstand the evil day, and having done all to stand. Friends, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that we are living in the times when modern day trends are promoting and even legalizing, permissiveness, promiscuity, immorality and rebellion against God and His precepts.  To be a Christian today means prevailing against the forces of darkness while standing for righteousness and truth.

Another 9:11 is Upon Us

Churches everywhere are praying for revival.  While many are looking for God to move in a way that meets their criteria, He is moving in the hearts of those who have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. As in the days when Jesus walked the earth and the religious leaders could not accept him in the form that He came, many are not accepting the current move of God because it does not meet their expectation. Before God can enlighten the mind, he first speaks to the heart. Like the two men on the road to Emmaus, when God chooses to speak in a different form, we must be able to hear His voice – the living Word that burns within our hearts. (Mark 24:13-32)

The concept of revival for many is the fruit of repentance seen when people come under conviction and repent for the harness of their heart and return to the Lord. Thus, in their minds an outpouring cannot take place, even when God is moving in miraculous ways that testifies of His healing power, unless they first repent. While repentance may be the result of an outpouring of Gods Spirit, this was not the case on the day of Pentecost. The very first act that God did that birthed the Church was to pour our His Spirit with the results of prophecy, vision and dreams. He did not ask the people to repent first, but He sent to them the Holy Spirit,

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave to them utterance 6) Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together and were confounded because they heard every man in his own language (Acts 2:4 & 6).

The gift of tongues with interpretation is that of prophecy. To clarify this event, the apostle Paul stood up and quoted Joel 9:11declaring that this is that which was promised in the scriptures with the results of prophecy visions and dreams. We are now experiencing another 9:11. While the horrible event that took place in September of 2001 was due to an act of terrorism, there is a current move of God quietly taking place because of an act of God’s outpouring. God is now speaking to the hearts of His people in prophecy, visions and dreams in regards to their call and destiny.

There are reports by some church members that their leadership is seeking to discourage them from participating in prophetic ministry. Meanwhile, many of the people they are preaching too are having prophetic experiences that they cannot. A real confrontation is now taking place between the religious mindset and a true move of the Holy Spirit. In the attempt to control this, some church leaders demand that their people submit to Church authority, which means they must embrace the belief of their pastor even if means denying their experience in the face of a spiritual awakening.

This is puts people in an extremely difficult situation. If they respond to the call and seek to develop their spiritual gifts for the work of ministry, they face criticism, stern objections and even isolation. But if they compromise their conviction to avoid a confrontation, they lose the joy of their life – the call that is upon them given to them by Jesus Christ. There is nothing that motivates a person more than when they are used by the Holy Spirit and are functioning as God has set them in the church. One thing is certain, this is a test that all must pass if they want to move forward in Christ, or else they will become a victim falling prey to a religious system that puts them in prison. Jesus came to open the prison doors and set the captives free.

Gifts and Mantles Are Being Awakened

The Holy Spirit is calling for us to examine our hearts as to what we really believe. The scriptures tell us that the gifts and callings are without repentance. This means that even if you do not use them, or know what they are, or even believe in them, God has deposited within you special gifts for the work of the ministry. As God is speaking to the hearts of His people, these gifts, like seeds planted in the ground, are being awakened to their destiny. In order to find the pathway to your destiny, you must respond to the call in both word and in deed. Faith requires action, even if it means rejection, being misunderstood and rejection.  Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (Jn. 10:27).  As Jesus said, there is a cost to following the Lord which means that we must lay down our life and then we will find it.

Not surprisingly, many of these people are called as watchmen, intercessors, praise dancers, worshipers and musicians. Many of the watchmen that are called to pray in their closets are also called to express the heart of God in public through song, dance and musical instruments.  I see a form of intercession coming in worship for many dancers and musicians are also intercessors and watchmen! They will not only watch to see what the Lord will say to them, but will proclaim that which the Lord reveals to through sound and movement with proclamations and declarations.

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved (Habakkuk 2:1).

I have set watchmen upon the walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: you that make mention of the Lord, keep not silent (Is. 62:6).

These servants will become like a two edge sword in the hand of the Lord. We are about to see the sword of the Lord unleashed from heaven through His anointed minstrels to minister His word in power and demonstration. Many of these people are now being sharpened by the Lord in the place of isolation where the Lord is perfecting them. These people are now hidden in the hand of the Lord, but soon they will emerge as a polished arrow of the Lord.

And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand has He hid me, and made me a polished shaft:  in His quiver has He hid me. (3) And said unto me, you are my servant…” (Isaiah 49:2-3).

I see a whole new revelation of the Kingdom of God being released to the Church that will manifest heaven on earth. As we behold the Lord’s glory, true worshippers will respond with abandoned praise in recognition of His majestic beauty. I believe as we come into this realm and behold His glory, we will join the choir of heaven to be used by the Lord to manifest His heart, mind and passion on earth through spontaneous new songs, acts of intercession and prophetic dance. In doing so they will engage in warfare for praise and worship is warfare. David exhorts us to “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hand. “

People everywhere have a passion to receive the required training to empower them to minister at a higher spiritual dimension.  Basic to the foundation of any ministry is the prophetic ministry, for the Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. Prophecy is simply hearing God’s voice to follow Him. To know God’s heart requires hearing His voice and responding appropriately. Prophetic expression may come through those whom the Lord uses to speak His word, such through musical instruments, acts of intercession, and the praise dance to touch the lives of others.  God has many creative and unique ways of speaking- we are the trumpet that the breath of God breathers life into to make a distinct sound to reveal His heart.

Dream by Julie

Recently I received an email from a lady that I will call Julie. Julie is one of hundreds that is receiving a revelation of God’s purpose through prophecy, visions and dreams. Below is a recent dream she had followed by the interpretation. I also included at the very end a powerful prophetic word given to us by Bill Yount.

First, I feel it is significant that I am barefoot in this dream. I am walking in the snow but my feet are quite comfortable. This was significant to me, because I HATE it when my feet are cold.  However, in spite of the snow they were not.

I was in the parking lot at our church, standing around with some people talking when a previous pastors wife who was a good friend came up to me and pointed at the sky in the south saying “look at the beautiful angels wings” I felt she was trying to comfort me. I looked up where she was pointing and saw some pretty pink clouds, but right in front of them was an ugly black cloud with slits for eyes that was very threatening.  It looked like an evil face glaring at me. I started to say “that’s no angel” but was instructed by a voice to dance instead.

I felt self conscious but was compelled to start dancing, even though I expressed my embarrassment and incompetence, the voice said “sing and dance” As I pushed my foot up off the snow, I watched my toes spread out in the slush and I was surprised again that my feet  were bare and not cold at all. I was even more surprised at my   movement. My body was full of grace and beauty of movement that I knew was not my own, I could not move this way! I was amazed at my skill; even though it was not anything I had practiced or learned.

When my feet pushed off the ground I would stay in the air for 4 seconds. It was a supernatural lifting. I was dancing in all directions, to the South, East, North, and West. I was amazed that I could stay up off the ground so long! I went around the entire parking lot very quickly. It was effortless, graceful and amazing to feel myself under this power. I was aware that this was a dance for protection.

Interpretation

Hi Julie,

Snow often represents purity, “Though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow. Isaiah 1:18). Being barefoot means you are vulnerable before the Lord but standing on Holy ground.  God has given you the ministry of dancing feet as a worshiping warrior/intercessor. As you press through your own embarrassment and insecurities God will empower you to dance above your skill and abilities.

God does not honor perfection but faith. As you move in obedience to delight in the Lord, from the place of heaven, you will reflect the heart of God on earth with His message through spontaneous sound, dance and movement. God is revealing to you your call. You are called as the Lord’s intercessor expressed through sound and movement, such as in song, the dance and other forms of prophetic expression.

There is opposition coming to the Church from the South. Many have seen this in visions and dreams. From Northern Maine to the South, people have seen this. We do not know specifically what it is yet but we do know that we are being anointed in worship for warfare. God is also setting watchmen on the walls with intercessors.

Prophetic dance is a type of intercession that can establish a hedge of protection from opposition that comes from any direction. An automobile prophetically represents a person’s ministry. Since the parking lot contains a number of different automobiles at any given time, the Lord is using you to intercede for all of God’s ministries.  We want to keep out that which we do not want “parking” in our lots.

As you know, God is rising up an army. These people are answering the call to “come and ride with the Lord” to fight the battles of heaven. These are worshiping minstrels who will go out before the army “that should praise the Lord in the beauty of holiness, and as they went out before the army to say, Praise the Lord: for His mercy endures forever. And when they began to praise, the Lord set ambushments…” (2 Chronicles 20:21-22).

God is also releasing a new sound from heaven for worship teams to capture. God is restoring the tabernacle of David (Acts 15:16) by placing prophetic minstrels in His house.  Together with the priest, the Praisers, singers and dancers, there will make one sound that opens the portals of heaven. We expect to see the glory of God in our midst!

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters, and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord …that the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord. So that the priest could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house.   (2 Chronicles 5:13)

This means that God’s people will need a prophetic foundation to prepare to flow with the Spirit in new and unique ways. We do know that in preparation the Lord is “changing up” the familiar style of worship from the slow melodious praise that was popular during the charismatic movement, to that which ushers in dancing feet to a much livelier beat. This is absolutely necessary in order for people to enter into a new type of warfare-that of being joyful in glory.

This will bring healing to many who are suffering from discouragement, depression and spiritual oppression. Putting on a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness is the Lord’s antidote for many things that bog us down with the cares of this life, and can bring much needed healing.

The number 4 represents creativity, thus the Lord is lifting you into the heavenly realm for 4 seconds to anoint you with creative expressions of God’s heart to minister the spirit through sound and movement. As the Holy Spirit moves, you will sing new songs with creative expression and movement. (Ps. 149:1) The results will be the ministry of the Holy Spirit touching the lives of others as well as for warfare.

Much of our warfare will now be done in the heavenlies, which means intimacy with God. Musicians, praise dancers and singers are being called to ride with the Lord, which means to draw near to Him, abide in His presence daily being filled with the Holy Spirit. From the place of deep intimacy will flow a powerful release of ministry.

I believe this is part of the new thing that God is about to do in worship. Our musicians, praise dancers, watchmen and intercessors are taking the time this year to draw closer to the Lord to hear His heart and respond accordingly. The heart of God will be released in worship through the praise dance and new songs to minister His message from the heavenly realm. They in essence will become the message. These messengers will have the fire of God upon them.  And of the angels He said, who makes his angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire (He. 1:7).

God is not looking for a people that speak for Him but those He can speak through.  Fire is coming to the house of God. To those who embrace the prophetic they will be filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit burning with the passionate love of God. John the Baptist declared of Jesus that “He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” As we know, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit with fire began on the day of Pentecost. Like the day of Pentecost that birthed the church, when we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, we also receive the tongues of fire that empowers us to be the oracles of God.

Acts 2:17 declares that in the last days God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh with prophecy, visions and dreams. Experiencing revelation that reveals the heart of God is the birthright of every Christian. God still communicates to His people today through the Holy Spirit, often through prophecy, vision and dreams. We must be a host for the Holy Spirit by allowing the lamp of God to burn in the hearts of His people. Those who do not embrace the fire will be burned by it. This is not to destroy them but to cleanse and refine them for God sits as a refiner who purifies His people by fire.

And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and urge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness (Malachi 3:3)

Anoint the Shield

In this hour God is calling us to “anoint the shield” which means to set a guard to protect and preserve. The church needs national security, which means we need to establish watchmen on the walls of the church, business sector, in politics, education and our families. It seems that you are called Julie to “anoint the shield” to dance the dance of intercession to establish a hedge of protection for the areas that the Lord designates to you.

Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, and drink: arise you princes and anoint the shield. (6) For thus has the Lord said to me, Go, set a watchmen and let him declare what He sees (Is. 21:5-6)

A Word by Bill Yount

You have seen at times these huge snow plows plowing away mountains of snow at airport runways for ‘take off.” I sense although its winter for you and your people, ‘Worship’ is that huge snow plow in the Spirit that is plowing away the hindrances and mountains of obstacles to make the way possible for the King’s Highway to be laid and built throughout your region.

‘DON’T DESPISE THE DAY OF ‘SMALL’ WORSHIP!  IT’S NOT ALWAYS IN THE STYLE BUT ALWAYS IN THE GOD WE WORSHIP!’

The reason why there seems so much resistance now is because the worship you do have is actually plowing and moving a lot more obstacles away than you realize. When I minister at times and the response seems like nothing, God often tells me, “That’s when the plow is going deep and it’s moving against that mountain of opposition!

In His heart and love
