The wind of change continues to usher in a transition from the old to the new. A new thing is upon us and the Holy Spirit is relentlessly moving to accomplish the will of the Father. The trumpet has sounded to rise and shine and awake from our slumber and put on the light of Christ. This is not the time to be spiritually sleeping or passive, complacent or inactive. We are in the days that you are either part of a great advance or you will fall far behind. The acceleration is increasing and we must redeem the time.
The path of the righteous always requires change, a change that leads to more of God’s light and glory for “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18). Change always requires faith with perseverance. Many who have answered the call are now going through battles. What others meant for evil God is using for good and He is using it to perfect His people.
Those who have responded to the call to “Come and ride with me” have enlisted in God’s army to fight the battles of heaven. In 1968, I joined the US Marine Corps. My concept of the military changed the first day I arrived at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California. Boot camp was no picnic but it was not meant to be. To become a well trained soldier equipped to fight a war required discipline and extensive training in the use of the weapons of war. The grueling physical exercises sculptured my body into top condition. As much as I disliked the training, what I learned in boot camp served me well during the 9 months that I walked point in Viet Nam. It saved my life.
In 1988, when I answered the call to devote my life entirely to Christ, like the Marine Corps, I didn’t know exactly know what this meant. It turned out to be another boot camp – that of the Holy Spirit. God’s boot camp required even more discipline, focus and training that the US Marine Corps! During this time I became skilled in the use of the weapons of war such as the peace of God that crushes Satan under our feet, the love of God that never fails and the sword of the Lord which is His Word. I learned that the fruits of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are effective weapons of warfare. This training was also grueling but designed to kill my flesh which saved my life.
And guess who the Lord used to assist Him in my training? You got it! He used those with the nature of Saul, Absalom, Judas and Jezebel. As well as those closest to me who betrayed and rejected me, God used them to forge the character and nature of Christ in me and I thank God for them all! It’s that person that gets under your skin the most and the tribulations you face that God uses to perfect you. Sometimes you feel like you are crawling in the mud ducking under fire because the enemy is trying to kill you, but this is just a skirmish to train you for that which is to come. We are in training for reigning. During this time, I thought I was going to die but I got through it! Some of you that have signed up when you gave “your all to the Lord” are now going through the same thing. Congratulations you are being trained and equipped to become a member of God’s elite fighting force. You’re in God’s army now and your life is not your own!
God is mobilizing an army to make one of the greatest advances the world has ever seen. To mobilize means to organize resources and people into a state of readiness for active service in war. God is marshaling an army and he will lead it. Many are now seeing a dark cloud arising on the horizon that is advancing and in preparation; the call has been made to ready the troops for deployment.
The Lord of Armies and the Tribe of Judah – Praise
One of the divisions God is mobilizing is the tribe of Judah. Judah means praise. Before God sends out His army, He always sends out the praise dancers, worshipers and musicians. As praise ascends to heaven, light comes down for God inhabits the praises of His people. Christians everywhere are feeling the Lord drawing them closer to Him for intimacy. Many are anointed to serve in God’s worshiping army. These worshiping warriors are like King David – radical lovers of God. These minstrels of worship and praise are able to open the portals of heaven for the King of Glory to come in. There is no greater power in the universe than the King of Glory, the Lord of Hosts.
Lift up your heads…and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah (Psalms 24:7-8, 10).
The Lord of Hosts means Lord of armies. This title is mentioned in the Bible approximately two hundred and ninety times, about ten times more than the sum of all other revelations of the name of God. It is this revelation of God that is most frequently unveiled to man in the Bible. The Lord will once again be revealed as the victorious warrior, the great “I am” as Lord of Lords and King of Kings. As Isaiah proclaimed,
The Lord will go forth like a warrior; He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes; He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies (Is. 42:13).
Nor are the angels of heaven like the little Gerber babies with wings, but are fierce warriors of righteousness clothed in light. Angels are on assignment as warriors in the service of the Lord and they know how to fight. The armies of heaven are being marshaled to fight with the Lords’ armies on earth to make a great advance for the Kingdom of God. God is anointing His people for war and worship is a primary means of warfare. Although we do not enter into worship to do warfare, worship by nature is warfare because worship ushers in the Lord’s presence. It is His glory that displaces the forces of darkness and cast down strongholds for “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).
Christians are called to confront the kingdom of darkness. We do this by abiding in Christ who is our armor of light. Light is more powerful than darkness and the light of Christ which has life, is greater than any darkness on earth. We are called to be the light of the world to bring forth life – the life of Christ. As we walk in the light who is Christ, we displace the forces of darkness within our sphere of influence with His presence.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lust thereof (Romans 13:12, 14).
Christians are Soldiers of the Cross
It might be hard for Christians to see themselves as soldiers but the apostle Paul tells us to endure as soldiers of the Cross. He also exhorts us to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, “for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Eph. 6:12).”
Using the metaphor of the armor that a Roman soldier wore in his day, Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to withstand the evil day, and having done all, to stand. If we were not called as soldiers, Paul would not have used the metaphor of a Roman soldier. We are in a battle. Anyone who doesn’t understand this is deceived. Being a Christian is not about being drunk in the spirit living off the blessings of God, but establishing the Kingdom of God for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Our adversary resists this as his purpose is to establish His kingdom on earth in order to prevail against heaven for he is in rebellion.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 8).
You don’t have to be a prophet to know that modern day trends are promoting and even legalizing, permissiveness, promiscuity, immorality and rebellion against God and His precepts. To be a Christian means prevailing against the forces of darkness while standing for righteousness and truth.
The Current Move of God
The very first act that God did that birthed the Church on the day of Pentecost was to pour our His Spirit upon one hundred and twenty people and they spoke in tongues. Everyone that heard them didn’t hear gibberish, but they heard in their own language the wonderful works of God. It was on the day of Pentecost that the Church was birthed and its first members prophesied as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. To clarify this event, the apostle Paul stood up declaring that this is that which was promised in the scriptures declaring,
“But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel, And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and you sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams, And on My servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My spirit, and they shall prophesy” (Acts 2:16-18).
We are now experiencing a move of God. It is not as dramatic as the day of Pentecost but this is by God’s design. The Lord is quietly speaking to those who have an ear to hear His voice speaking to them through prophecy, visions and dreams. Acts 2:17 declares that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit with the result of prophecy, visions and dreams. Whether or not the church believes it, or the leadership embraces it, God is doing it!
Everywhere Churches are praying for revival. While many are looking for God to move in a powerful way that causes people’s hearts to turn to God, God is speaking to those who are searching for God. He is moving quietly in the background speaking to many in prophecy, visions and dreams. We are constantly hearing reports of people in every denomination that are having prophetic experiences. Like the two men on the road to Emmaus, when God chooses to speak in a different form, we must be able to hear His voice – the living Word that burns within our hearts.
For some time now many people have been sharing that their leadership is resisting this even to the point of making it difficult for them to openly share their experiences, or to attend a prophetic ministry. Because of the fear of being rebuked and intimidated, they retreat in silence. A real confrontation is now taking place in many churches between Church leadership and those who are having prophetic experiences.
n the attempt to control this, some Church leaders demand that their people submit to their authority. This means that the people must obey the request of leadership even if means denying their biblical experience in the face of a spiritual awakening. This puts people in an extremely difficult situation. If they respond to the call and seek to develop their spiritual gifts for the work of ministry, they face criticism, stern objections and even isolation. But if they compromise their conviction to avoid a confrontation, they lose the joy of their life – the call given to them by the Lord Jesus Christ.
There is nothing that motivates a person more than when they are used by the Holy Spirit to minister as God has set them in the church. The Holy Spirit is calling for us to examine our hearts as to what we really believe and to stand firm. One thing is certain, this is a test that all must pass if they want to move forward in Christ. In order to find the pathway to our destiny, we must respond to the call and place our trust in the Lord who will never leave us nor forsake us.
Gifts and Mantles Are Being Awakened
The scriptures tell us that the gifts and callings are without repentance. God has deposited spiritual gifts and talents in His people for the work of ministry. Like seeds planted in the ground, they are being awakened through prophecy, visions and dreams. God is bypassing the intellect to speak to believing hearts to reveal His purpose with a revelation of their spiritual gifts. However, in order to use their gifts they must develop them. We are not born again as mature in our faith or talents, but through the proper training and experience we become skilled craftsmen of the Lord.
People everywhere have a passion to receive training that will empower them to minister at a higher spiritual dimension. Basic to the foundation of any ministry is the prophetic ministry, for the Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus (Rev. 19:10). Prophecy is simply hearing God’s voice to follow Him. Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (Jn. 10:27). To know God’s heart requires hearing His voice and responding appropriately.
Watchmen and Intercessors are also worshiping warriors
Not surprisingly, many of these people are receiving the revelation that they are called as watchmen and intercessors. Some of these are also praise dancers, worshipers and musicians. Many of the watchmen that are called to pray in their closets in private are being called to express the heart of God in public. Some will express this through song, dance and musical instruments as many dancers and musicians are also intercessors and watchmen! They not only watch to see what the Lord will say to them, but proclaim that which the Lord reveals to them through sound and movement with proclamations and declarations.
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved (Habakkuk 2:1).
I have set watchmen upon the walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: you that make mention of the Lord, keep not silent (Is. 62:6).
Hidden In His Hand
These servants are like a two edge sword in the hand of the Lord. We are about to see the sword of the Lord unleashed through His anointed messengers to minister His word in power and demonstration. Many of these people are now being sharpened by the Lord. They are kept in a place of isolation where the Lord is perfecting them. These people have been called from birth to be with the Lord. They are now hidden in His hand until the time they emerge as a polished arrow ministering as His servant.
“….The Lord has called me from womb; from the bowels of my mother has He made mention of my name. And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand has He hid me, and made me a polished shaft: in His quiver has He hid me. (3) And said unto me, you are my servant…” (Isaiah 49:1-3).
As we behold the Lord’s glory, true worshipers will respond with abandoned praise in recognition of His majestic beauty. I believe as we behold His glory, we will be used by the Lord to manifest His heart, mind and passion on earth through spontaneous new songs, acts of intercession and prophetic dance. In doing so they will engage in warfare for praise and worship is warfare. David exhorts us to “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hand. “
Dream by Julie
Below is a recent dream that Julie sent to me for interpretation. I share this with you by permission as Julie is one of thousands who are receiving prophetic revelation of their destiny through prophecy, visions and dreams.
First, I feel it is significant that I am barefoot in this dream. I am walking in the snow but my feet are quite comfortable. This was significant to me, because I HATE it when my feet are cold. However, in spite of the snow they were not.
I was in the parking lot at our church, standing around with some people talking when a previous pastors wife who was a good friend came up to me and pointed at the sky in the south saying “look at the beautiful angels wings” I felt she was trying to comfort me. I looked up to where she was pointing and saw some pretty pink clouds, but right in front of them was an ugly black cloud with slits for eyes that was very threatening. It looked like an evil face glaring at me. I started to say “that’s no angel” but was instructed by a voice to dance instead.
I felt self conscious but was compelled to start dancing, even though I expressed my embarrassment and incompetence, the voice said “sing and dance” As I pushed my foot up off the snow, I watched my toes spread out in the slush and I was surprised again that my feet were bare and not cold at all. I was even more surprised at my movement. My body was full of grace and beauty of movement that I knew was not my own, I could not move this way! I was amazed at my skill; even though it was not anything I had practiced or learned.
When my feet pushed off the ground I would stay in the air for 4 seconds. It was a supernatural lifting. I was dancing in all directions, to the South, East, North, and West. I was amazed that I could stay up off the ground so long! I went around the entire parking lot very quickly. It was effortless, graceful and amazing to feel myself under this power. I was aware that this was a dance for protection.
Snow often represents purity, “Though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow. Isaiah 1:18). Being barefoot means you are vulnerable before the Lord but standing on Holy ground. God has given you the ministry of dancing feet as a worshiping warrior/intercessor. As you press through your own embarrassment and insecurities God will empower you to dance above your skill and abilities.
God does not honor perfection but faith. As you move in obedience to delight in the Lord, from the place of heaven, you will reflect the heart of God on earth with His message. God is revealing to you your call. You are called as the Lord’s intercessor expressed through sound and movement such as through the dance of intercession.
There is opposition coming to the Church from the South. Many have seen this in visions and dreams. From Northern Maine to the South, people have seen this. We do not know specifically what it is yet but we do know that we are being anointed in worship for warfare. God is also setting watchmen on the walls with intercessors.
Prophetic dance is a type of intercession that can establish a hedge of protection from opposition that comes from any direction. Automobiles often prophetically represent a person’s ministry. Since the parking lot contains a number of different automobiles at any given time, the Lord is using you to intercede for all of God’s ministries. We want to keep out that which we do not want “parking” in our lots.
As you know, God is rising up an army. These people are answering the call to “come and ride with the Lord” to fight the battles of heaven. These are worshiping minstrels who will go out before the army “that should praise the Lord in the beauty of holiness, and as they went out before the army to say, Praise the Lord: for His mercy endures forever. And when they began to praise, the Lord set ambushments…” (2 Chronicles 20:21-22).
God is also releasing a new sound from heaven for worship teams to capture. God is restoring the tabernacle of David (Acts 15:16). He is placing prophetic minstrels in His house. Together with the priest, the Praisers, singers and dancers, there will make one sound to open the portals of heaven for the King of glory of God to be in our midst!
It came even to pass, as the trumpeters, and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord …that the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord. So that the priest could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house (2 Chronicles 5:13).
This means that God’s people will need a prophetic foundation to prepare to flow with the Spirit in new and unique ways. We do know that in preparation the Lord is “changing up” the familiar style of worship from the slow melodious praise that was popular during the charismatic movement, to that which ushers in dancing feet to a much livelier beat. This is absolutely necessary in order for people to enter into a new type of warfare-that of being joyful in glory.
The joy of the Lord is our strength and we will need His strength in order to endure in the days ahead. Putting on a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness is the Lord’s antidote for many things that bog us down with the cares of this life, and can bring much needed healing. to many who are suffering from discouragement, depression and spiritual oppression.
The number 4 represents creativity, thus the Lord is lifting you into the heavenly realm for 4 seconds to anoint you with creative expressions of God’s heart to minister the spirit through sound and movement. As the Holy Spirit moves, you will sing new songs with creative expression and movement. (Ps. 149:1) The results will be the ministry of the Holy Spirit touching the lives of others as well as for warfare.
Much of our warfare will now be done in the heavenlies, which means intimacy with God. Musicians, praise dancers and singers are being called to ride with the Lord, which means to draw near to Him, abide in His presence daily being filled with the Holy Spirit. From the place of deep intimacy will flow a powerful release of ministry.
I believe this is part of the new thing that God is about to do in worship. Our musicians, praise dancers, watchmen and intercessors are taking the time this year to draw closer to the Lord to hear His heart and respond accordingly. The heart of God will be released in worship through the praise dance and new songs to minister His message from the heavenly realm. They in essence will become the message. These messengers will have the fire of God upon them. And of the angels He said, who makes his angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire (He. 1:7).
God is not looking for a people that speak for Him but those He can speak through. Fire is coming to the house of God. To those who embrace the prophetic they will be filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit burning with the passionate love of God. John the Baptist declared of Jesus that “He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” As we know, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit with fire began on the day of Pentecost. Like the day of Pentecost that birthed the church, when we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, we also receive the tongues of fire that empowers us to be the oracles of God.
Acts 2:17 declares that in the last days God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh with prophecy, visions and dreams. Experiencing revelation that reveals the heart of God is the birthright of every Christian. God still communicates to His people today through the Holy Spirit, often through prophecy, vision and dreams. We must be a host for the Holy Spirit by allowing the lamp of God to burn in the hearts of His people. Those who do not embrace the fire will be burned by it. This is not to destroy them but to cleanse and refine them for God sits as a refiner who purifies His people by fire.
And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and urge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness (Malachi 3:3)

Many like Julie are receiving a revelation of their destiny through a vision or dream from the Lord. While personal prophecy can be very powerful and life changing, there is something about receiving a revelation directly from the Father that imparts confidence and faith that validates and strengthens your identity and purpose in Christ.
Just as Peter receive the revelation that Christ is the son of God directly from the Father, God wants to reveal to you the hope of His calling that He has for your life. It is for this reason, the apostle Paul prayed that the church might receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ,
I cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Father Jesus Christ, the Father of glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. That the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance is in the saints. And what is the exceeding greatness of His plower to us who believe…” (Eph. 1:16- 18)
God has deposited within you a treasure- the gift of the Holy Spirit, that your eyes may see and know Jesus Christ and by seeing Him, receive a revelation of His call for your life. I want to pray right now for you that you would not only come to know what your gifts and the call that God has for your life, but an impartation of His peace, love and joy with the boldness to serve Him and follow Him all the days of your life.
Right now I pray for the person reading this that has come before you. We ask in agreement for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to come upon this person. Would you Lord Jesus right touch them now with your Holy Spirit and impart to them your peace, love and joy. We ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to be given to them to open the eyes of their heart that they may be enlightened in the knowledge of you. Speak to them Lord through your word and through prophecy, visions and dreams. I ask that you would specifically reveal to them their spiritual gifts, the call on their life and the anointing that you have imparted to them for the work of ministry.
I also ask for the Spirit of prophecy that is the testimony of Jesus to be given to them that they may prophesy in your name to build up the body of Christ in love. These things we ask in your name Lord Jesus, Amen.
In His heart and love
