Prophetic Tidbits

Restoring the Spirit of Worship

Last August we planted a church called Destiny Church Fellowship that meets at St. Paul Center in Augusta Maine on Sundays.  I am excited to announce that we are now a member of MorningStar Fellowship of Churches (MFC). This places our Church Fellowship under the spiritual covering of MorningStar Ministries with a relationship based support with other MorningStar churches and leaders throughout this nation.

I recently returned from a MorningStar Northeast Prophetic Round Table held in Owego, NY. Everyone there is in agreement that we are living in perilous times but also the best of times. Many are seeing disastrous things coming but it was not however a doomsday meeting, but one of hope, love and joy. The central message is that the church is now posed for the greatest opportunities to reveal the life, love and light of Christ to a lost and dying world. I am excited to be a part of these times. The harvest is ripe and our opportunities are great. This is that which we have been prepared for!

The church is posed to be the gateway of hope, faith and love. As darkness increases upon the earth and its people, the light of the glory of God will also increase upon His people. The Church is called to be a beacon of hope for all nations that will come to her light bearing gifts as a tribute to the house of His glory.

“Arise and shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall rise upon you and His glory shall be seen upon you. And the gentiles shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising…..and bring gold and incense and they shall show forth the praises of the Lord… and I will glorify the house of My glory” (Isaiah 60:1-7).

As darkness increases upon the earth, so will God’s glory upon His people. This will take place with such intensity that His light will become visible upon His people. Gentiles will come to the rising of their light and bring with them their substance of gold and incense that will greatly prosper the church.

One of the keys of prosperity is to sow into God’s Kingdom for His economy will never fail. We reap what we sow. If we sow in abundance we shall reap an abundance. There is also the promise that if we lend to the poor that the Lord will reward the giver with abundance. As we are faithful to tithe God will rebuke the devourer on our behalf.

Jesus also said that if we first seek His Kingdom that all these things will be added unto you. This is because as you dwell in His Kingdom, your light will touch others with His life that will cause them to give gifts as a tribute to His glory.

There is much revelation coming to the church in regards to heaven’s economy that will create a whole new Christian commerce. Many will be poised to make wise financial investments with creative ideas that will greatly prosper God’s people. The Church is about to develop an economy that is independent of the World’s and it’s market. The church is about to become a prosperous nation within a nation. Regardless of the world’s economy and situation, like Israel in the days of King Solomon, they will prosper in the midst of all the nations of the world.

A Fresh Revelation of God’s Love

A fresh revelation of God’s heart for His bride is coming that will set the church ablaze with His glory. This outpouring of divine love will awaken the hearts of the people to become passionate lovers of God. This is turn will restore the spirit of worship in the church by those with a passion for Christ. As we lift up our hearts to the Lord, heaven’s gates will open wide for the King of Glory to come in.

Instead of singing songs about God, His people will be singing to God as a passionate lover sings to His bride. A true revelation of God will cause praise to erupt from the hearts of believers with extravagant worship. In the light of His glory many will dance with “happy feet” because of the joy of the Lord which is our strength, “for in His presence there is fullness of joy.”

Those who cultivate the spirit of worship will open the gates for the King of Glory to come in. (See Psalms 24:6-10) Great peace, love and joy will preside in God’s house that will evangelize the world. It will be this supernatural joy and peace of God in the face of fear, confusion and uncertainty that will testify of the risen Lord who dwells in the midst of His people. During troublesome times, the peace of God will crush Satan under our feet and the love of God that will win the hearts of many. Healing and deliverance will take place in the atmosphere of heaven released on earth through those engaged with the worship of heaven.

As the spirit of worship returns to the church we will see Church life the way that Christ intended it to be – a habitation for the Spirit of God with a people filled with the Holy Spirit. God is about to reveal His Kingdom power and authority through the ordinary members of the Church, the true worshippers that are lovers of God.

We are in a season where the Lord is calling our hearts, priorities and devotions back to our first love – the Lord Jesus Christ. As our nation, its economy and all that can be shaken are shaken, people will seek for that which brings joy and substance to their lives – the Lord Jesus Christ. Intimacy with God will once again become the main theme and the way of life. While all else may fail, we stand upon a rock the Lord Jesus Christ, a Kingdom that cannot be shaken.

Recovering the Spirit of Worship

The key to releasing the glory of God is through a people that have cultivated a worshipper’s heart. The Psalmist David tells us that we enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. It is here in God’s presence that we cultivate intimacy for fellowship with God. We can enter into God’s presence at any time to receive His thoughts that nourishes our lives with His Holy Spirit.

King David understood the power of worship that touches the heart of God. This is the key of David with the authority to open the portals of heaven to commune with God that will release the latter rain. Those with a worshipper’s heart will find a fresh anointing infused into their natural gifts and talents to become skillful in worship that will corporately open the gates of heaven for the King of Glory to come in.

The instruments of worship, the voice of the singers, the lips of the trumpeters and the feet of the dancers, will all become anointed instruments of praise.  These instruments of praise will become the preached Word of God made flesh. Those who touch the heart of God in heaven will release His thoughts that reveal His heart through movement and sound on earth. Their natural talents and skills will become infused with the anointing that will empower them far above their nature ability that will release creativity.

In this atmosphere of worship, that praise dancers will dance a message that brings delieverance and healing to the people. New songs will minister the love of God with Kingdom power and authority. Skilled musicians with their talents infused with the Spirit of God will reveal the sound of heaven. The words of the singers will open prison doors and set the captives free. As God is high and lifted up upon the praises of His people, from a mountain of worship He will release waves of glory.

In the face of fear, discouragement and despair, the church is about to enter into the glorious realm of heaven where they will experience the joyful sound that will set the hearts of the people dancing. Their sorrow will turn to joy as they exchange the spirit of heaviness for a garment of praise. They will not only hear the glorious sound of worship in heaven, but as carriers of God’s glory, release it upon the earth.

Unity of Spirit

God is not drawn to a people that unite around a common theme or doctrine, or an apostolic church that has perfect order and government, but those who enter into His presence for “God inhabits the praises of His people.” (Ps. 22:3) It is here in God’s presence that we become one as we unite around His Son. In 2 Chronicles when the trumpeters, praises, singers and the priest became one in purpose to make one sound to praise the Lord- the glory of the Lord came as a cloud that filled the house.

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets, and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good, for His mercy endures for ever: then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord: So that even the priest could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God ( 2 Chronicles 5:13-14).

Just as on the day of Pentecost when 120 were in the upper room in one accord, the people who enter into the “upper room,” the place of fellowship with Christ, will become one in Christ through worship. They in turn will experience the outpouring of God’s Spirit. The church is the house of God that is called to be filled with the cloud of God’s glory. If the Lord appeared to Israel as a cloud by day and a fire by night under the Old Testament Covenant, how much more glorious should we walk in the light of His glory under a new and better Covenant?

Like King David, as the worshippers of God come to the Lord’s banqueting table where His banner over them is love, He will anoint their head with oil even in the presence of their enemies. The oil is the anointing of Christ, the lamp of God. We are told in Is. 60:1 to arise and shine, for His glory has risen. We rise and shine when we rise up to His throne to enthrone Him as Lord of Lord and King of Kings.

It is our goal as a Church to open the portals of heaven for the King of glory to come in. To create a heavenly atmosphere filled with jubilant, joyful praise by extravagant worshippers who are passionate lovers of God. No matter what takes in their lives, they will rejoice before the King of Kings being joyful in glory dancing with “happy feet.”

Praise the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song and His praise in the congregation of the saints. (2) Let Israel rejoice in Him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and the harp. Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud upon their beds (Psalms 149: 1-6).

This is the Davidic Company of worshippers who are joyful in glory that have the key of David to open the gates of heaven to receive divine wisdom, counsel and strategies to rule and have dominion at the gateways on earth. Like King David, they are able to merge worship with warfare to receive strategies of the Lord that enable them to ambush their enemies before they are ambushed. To permeate with prophetic dialogue divine counsel to rule as joint heirs with Jesus taking dominion within the sphere of their influence. Like King Solomon, they are able to obtain the wisdom of God to build His house and prosper a nation. And like Joseph, the prophetic counsel that will enable business men and those in authority to prosper.

Tis the Season to Be Jolly

What better time of the year to worship the Lord with all of our hearts, mind and soul, than the Christmas season. To enter into God’s presence to celebrate the greatest gift that mankind has ever received, that of God’s Son the Lord Jesus Christ. We not only have the gift of eternal life, but the gift of grace that enables us to enter into the Holy place for fellowship in this life. Thank you God for your Son Jesus, Emmanuel – God is with us.

In His heart and love,

Roy Roden
