2009 PDM Ministry Report and Goals for 2010

This has been an awesome year!  We have traveled on a spiritual journey to be properly positioned as carriers of God’s glory in preparation for the coming harvest. As Bob Jones stated in a recent word called, “The Glory Train” God has a leadership aboard a train bound for glory. When the train arrives at it’s destination in three years, we will see a revelation of God’s glory as we have never seen before. I hear the clarion call, “All aboard the glory train! ” It’s time to,

Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people, but the Lord shall arise upon you and His glory shall be seen upon you (Is. 60:1-2).

God’s glory is not just His visible presence that is seen upon you, but the working of His power that reveals His life through you. The year 2012 is known as the apostolic year that we will see the fullness of Christ revealed in His church as the All in ALL. We will then see all of the five fold ministries of Christ operating in the church with the ordinary members of the church doing the works that Christ did!

We will also see a billion youth come to the Lord in the next 10 years. We are now being prepared to receive and care for those who come in from the harvest and disciple them for the work of ministry. These workers will be sent out to bring in an even greater harvest. At this time, we are not equipped to handle a large influx of people. Even though we desire to see our congregations grow, God’s passion is to see Christ formed in His people. It’s is not about the size of our congregation or ministry, but the revelation of His Son. Like Apostle Paul, our goal is to see Christ formed in His people.

The Lord is imparting the anointing to minister in power to those in need. The coming harvest will usher in the undesirable, every race and people with every issue imaginable. We cannot be selective as God’s heart is for all.  I saw a vision of people like animals locked in cages. When they were set free, they needed ministry. When Jesus called Lazarus forth from the grave, He said to those around him, “Loose him from his bondages.”The Spirit of the Lord is anointing vessels not only to set the captives free from demonic oppression but with the power to transform lives.

Because of the stress and load that the harvest will place upon the church, we will need all of God’s strength we can obtain.  In preparation for the harvest, there is the need to establish Schools of ministry to equip believers to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Spirit and to care for the Lord’s own.

First Things First

At the beginning of this year we were prompted to slow down our activities to focus on our first love- Jesus Christ. The primary call of every Christian is to cultivate intimacy with God.  We can be so busy doing things for the Lord, that we miss His timing, purpose and direction. Cultivating intimacy and fellowship is a way of life that has positioned us with a greater anointing and clarity of vision. Because of this our effectiveness for the Kingdom of God and His people are bearing more fruit.

Although we do not seek the Lord’s presence to make our meetings better nor do we seek the manifestations of God, but His heart. Because we love His presence with a passion for His glory, He is blessing us with a life giving ministry that brings others closer to the Lord. He is our life and our heart’s desire. When Christ is lifted up, He will draw all men unto Him, not to our message, gifting, titles or ministry. He is our vision and the minister of the sanctuary.

Watchmen of Intercession

For a number of years, it has been my quest to see the ministry of the watchmen and worshipping warriors restored to the Church. This is the army that the Lord will use to help take and possess the Promise Land. In light of this, I have been conducting a series of teachings on the Watchmen’s ministry.

These teachings are strategically given to build strong foundations and they are available on CD sets as part of our School of Ministry resources. I also taught on related topics such as Our Weapons of warfare, Combating Principalities and Powers, Breaking Curses, the Prophetic Ministry, the Gift of Discerning of Spirits that are also available on CD. It is my goal to provide and capture the best teaching possible that will bless many generations. When I am in heaven, I want to see the fruit of this ministry carried on. It is my goal that my ceiling is the floor for the next generation and to pass the torch of His presence to those that will carry the light of the gospel of Christ to the nations.

Early this year we established a Saturday am “Watchmen’s Watch” to hear from the Father’s heart in the privacy of our homes which we share with one another. We also established a daily intercessory prayer network called the “120 initiative” with the goal of calling in 120 people for the work of ministry. We also established a Tuesday night watchmen/intercessors gathering for a time of fellowship, sharing and prayer. All of this has been very fruitful in regards to hearing from the Father’s heart to know His vision, purpose and timing along with strategies that are impacting our communities.

We are in the beginning stages of developing a net work of watchmen in the region to stand their watch. There is an awesome strategy the Lord is revealing that I recently wrote about in an article called, “God’s New Grid of Watchmen.” There is also a new ministry that emerged this year called “The Oak Initiative” with Rick Joyner as its president for which I am a member. I believe that watchmen of intercession will play a vital role in changing the spiritual atmosphere of the region as well as to underwrite “The Oak Initiative” and the ministries in the region with prayer and intercession.

It was also revealed to me that the Lord is mobilizing an elite force that consist of the best of the best to form S.W.A.T. teams that will do great exploits. (Spiritual warfare and Tactics team) I also wrote an article on this called, “The Lord’s SWAT Teams.” I plan in the future to establish a Destiny SWAT School to train those who want to be involved in special missions as God’s undercover operatives.  These are warriors of the cross, the true knights of Christ, who run to the sound of battle. The Lord is imparting the heart of the Lion of Judah to these chosen few.

Combating Regional Principalities and Powers

The Lord also took us through a season to deal with the spirit of Leviathan. This really set us free from personal strongholds and a demonic assignment in the region creating havoc and confusion through misunderstanding. Satan’s strategy is to cause division at every level knowing that a house divided will not stand. His primary strategy is to cause division on every possible level of relationship- churches with each other, congregations with their pastors, husbands and wives, children and their parents and so on. Likewise, the Holy Spirit is moving relentlessly to reveal the Father’s love and His passion for unity among the brethren.

The shocking part is that Satan primarily uses well meaning Christians to accomplish his purpose. These Christians attend church and profess Christian truths but they live their lives in agreement with the powers of darkness. Despite the fact that their fruit is discord, strife and division and their actions are contrary to scripture, they believe they are being used by the Lord. A primarily weapon the adversary uses are Christians that gossip and find fault with others, believing that their understanding is  truth. Marching under the banner of self-righteousness, they are under the power of deception believing that they are being used by God. (See “The Final Quest” by Rick Joyner chapter 1) Many are now waking up to their true condition that is leading them to repentance and the light of the gospel truth.

Leviathan primarily attacks apostolic ministries that are about to enter into the Promise Land to keep them wandering in the desert. Just as Israel was unable to enter the Promise Land because of their murmuring, chiding, fault finding and complaining nature, this spirits seeks to entrap well meaning Christians in a viscous cycle that breeds spiritual, financial, emotional and mental poverty. God is like a river in that He is always moving. As we move with Him, He takes us from glory to glory with the result of increasing light, power and authority.

It is the truth in Jesus that makes men free that purged us of an assignment that has caused a positive reversal in the effectiveness of our ministry. To date, I have more work than I can handle as people are coming to me from all walks of life for personal training and discipleship. We also looked at the cycles in our personal lives that need to be broken along with developing greater team work, trust and communication among our ministry team leaders. The result has been greater unity.

Last November, we did a session with John Benifiel of the Oklahoma Apostolic Prayer Network to divorce Baal. We did a session in front of the State Capital building in Augusta Maine that we believe released the grip of Baal upon the State capital. The next day, the same sex issue law enacted by the governor of Maine was reversed. This, along with the prayers of many and the unity of the Church defeated the bill.

We also did a protocol with the Micmac tribe in October during our New England Round Table and Fathers’ heart conference that released a spirit of healing in the region. Since then we have received reports by those in attendance of the healing that they received. This is something that we wish to follow up on and continue in 2010.

The Spirit of Truth

The Spirit of truth not only reveals Christ and His ways to us, but seeks to mirror the truth to us about ourselves! We often see the truth about others and we like to declare our theological knowledge as truth, but if we are going to walk in God’s truth, we must know ourselves. We can have the gift of prophecy and understand all knowledge with the faith to move mountains, but without a love for His truth, we are simply making noise. This means understanding the truth about our own deceptions, motives, ambitions and reactions that are not pure or Christ like. While the Lord wants us to know that He loves us just as we are, He loves us enough not to leave us where we are. To walk in His truth requires that our character is anointed with His divine nature “For God is light and in Him there is no darkness…” (1 John 1:5).

To minister His truth our motives must that of love. To walk in truth means being free from deception and the veils that eclipse our vision of Jesus, “For the truth is in Jesus (Eph.4:21). Jesus is the truth, so to walk in truth and minister His truth, means that we must minister from the place of His presence speaking His Words that have His life. Jesus said, “It is the Spirit that quickens: (to make alive) the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak to you they are spirit and they are life” (Jn. 6:63).

The Lord is serious about pruning the dead branches in our lives as well the branches that are bearing fruit, that we may bear more fruit. In place of our dead works, the Father is imparting more of His love, mercy and compassion “That He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He has prepared unto glory” (Ro. 9:23).

The Lord is looking for broken vessels of mercy; servants that wear the mantle of humility clothed in His divine nature. His glory is revealed when we minister with His heart that brings about change to establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. The Father’s heart is for restoration, renewal and redemption. Rather than directing people’s lives we are to father them into the fullness of Christ that sets them on the right course to fulfill their destiny.

It doesn’t take long for newcomers that join us to come to terms with their obstacles that they have never overcome. The Spirit of truth desires to lead others to the truth- even if it hurts. Truthfully, not many want to pay the price to die to themselves and face their issues, which is why we are a Gideon few. Our goal is not only to equip believers for the work of ministry, but to perfect them “unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:13)

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ (Eph. 4:15).

Along with the freedom for people to move in their gifts of the Holy Spirit, comes accountability with responsibility. To oversee this, our heavenly Father is raising up those to father and mother His people into maturity, which includes correction and direction. It is the Fathering nature of God and His love revealed in leadership that will enable people to feel safe enough to allow them to minister to them. And, if we try to make everyone comfortable in order to keep everyone happy and avoid conflict, then we are aborting God’s process of growth. The Holy Spirit doesn’t compromise truth in order to be politically correct to avoid offending anyone. Nor does the Holy Spirit bend the standard of holiness and righteousness so that everyone can feel loved and accepted. But rather, the Holy Spirit seeks to go deep into lives to minster His truth. Jesus said it is the truth that MAKES men free.

For the Word of God is quick, and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (He. 4:12).

The church is designed by God to perfect us. Like a natural family the members of the household of faith grow as they face the conflicts and issues that forges their character with the wisdom that comes from experience. All families have problems. We need to understand God’s love for us that is unconditional, but also that there is a difference between being a child of God and acting childish. Therefore,

“Whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. (7) If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is not properly chasten?” (He. 12:6-7)

To have more of the Lord in our lives and ministry requires that we yield joyfully to His process. Every trial and tribulation, every circumstance and situation, is designed by the Lord for us overcome. The person that the Lord uses to perfect you is often the one closest to you, such as your spouse, boss, pastor or family member. We must use every opportunity to become Christ like, least we wander around in the wilderness of our desert as Israel did because of heart issues.

Many want the blessings of the Lord but if we are going to mature in Christ, we must “Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God…” (Ro. 11:22). We cannot choose what we like that makes us feel good and discard the rest. Those who have been hurt often become suspicious and fearful. In order to protect themselves, they often become independent. Because of the American culture we are prone to be self serving to receive instant gratification. Being a servant of the Lord requires that we denying ourselves and lay down our lives for the Lord and for one another. Those who yield to the process will inherit the Lord’s divine nature that reveals His glory, for it is “Christ in you the hope of glory.” He is our Promise Land.

Net worked with Morningstar Ministries

In 2008 we became a Morningstar Fellowship Church and last Spring I was ordained by Morningstar Ministries. What I appreciate about Morningstar is that they do not absorb you into their ministry to build up their organization. They want you to have your own vision to be all that you are called to be. Their motto is “We do not use others to build up our ministry, but we use our ministry to build up others.”

Nor does Morningstar ordain people to launch them into ministry, but they ordain those who are already established in ministry.  When I showed the ordination ceremony to our people, they received an impartation with a blessing with a feeling of “belonging.”  Morningstar is definitely the tribe we belong too. We appreciate the strength of their covering as well as their ministry.

PDM’s Website

We also reworked PDM’s website early this year to become more of an on line internet equipping resource to impact the body of Christ globally.  We added a webstore as well as three email teaching articles. They are 1.) Prophetic Bulletins, 2.) Prophetic Tidbits and 3.) The Watchmen’s Ministry.  Our server stats show that we are receiving over 50,000 hits a month each month. The average visitor reads 10 pages per person. I believe it is the prophetic teaching articles that are drawing them in.

Destiny Home Fellowships

We have three home fellowships established in the region, one in Mexico Maine, Camden and one in Waldoboro. Soon we will have one established in Waterville. Our Home Fellowships are not just designed to attract our neighbors for fellowship and ministry, but they are an extension of the School of Ministry. Each home host has their own vision and purpose with the freedom to equip others to do what they do.

Satellite School of Ministry in India

We also established a satellite School of Ministry in India under the leadership of Pastor Samuel, who minister to churches in 10 villages located in remote locations. There is now an opportunity for me to go to India in February to minister with Pastor Samuel in the villages and to his local congregation.

Father’s Heart Sunday

We continue to devote the last Sunday of each month is devoted to the ministry of worship and ministering in the creative visual arts, praise dance and the ministry of spiritual gifts, followed by a pot luck supper for fellowship and interchange.

Our Goals for 2010

My New Years quest and resolution is that of Mathew 5:6, “Blessed are they which hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” The pathway for spiritual fullness requires that we not only desire His righteousness, but that we walk in truth doing that which is right in His sight. This means that our inner thought life; emotions and motives are His and not our own. My goal is to be able to declare as Paul did, I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me, “In whom we live, move and have our being…” (Acts 18:28).

Our ministries goal for 2010 is to add video teachings to the website to provide on line equipping in the watchmen’s ministry, prophetic ministry, creative visual arts and praise dance ministry, as well as to offer prayer for salvation, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and impartations such as the Father’s heart and His love. These videos will be posted on our website with a section devoted to each of these ministries. We also plan to connect them to U-Tube, Face Book and Twitter. I also plan to provide an on line interactive prophetic School of Ministry as soon as possible.

I am especially interested in provide training videos for watchmen with a site devoted entirely to an on line blog, teaching articles, with a list of watchmen in the region to help establish a net work of intercessors for fellowship and interchange.   We will also continue to do strategic conferences, a New England Round Table with Tom Hardiman of Morningstar as well as our mobile Destiny School of Ministry where we take our ministry teams on the road to conduct seminars in other locations.

I also plan on continuing the teachings at the School of Ministry each Sunday on the ministry of the Watchmen. Some of the topics are as follows, The Role and Relationship of the Watchmen in the church * The Gift of Discerning of Spirits * The Ministry of Prophetic Intercession * The Role of Worship as Warfare *Angels as Watchers of the Lord * Knowing the Times and Seasons of the Lord.  I also plan to do a series of teachings on the ministry of worship, as well as a series of teachings on overcoming spiritual strongholds, such as overcoming the spirit of Jezebel, Baal, the Leviathan spirit, religious spirit, spirit of fear and so on.

In Summary

As I wrote this, a wonderful ordained pattern emerged that revealed how accurately we have been led. Everything that has been taught and implemented this year dovetails together and paints a beautiful picture of Christ working in our lives. The Holy Spirit is guiding us on a pathway towards greater light, wisdom and understanding that is found in the heart of the Father.

To start the year, we were called to intimacy. Our identity is not established by our ministry but in our relationship with God. Since then, the Lord has been honing our lives like a laser bean with the grace to overcome the obstacles in our lives that we may have life and have it more abundantly. In order to move forward in 2010, the Lord is releasing us from the past that we may live in the future restored and whole. God is serious about setting us free from the pain of our past that we may walk into our future as a whole person.

The following are topics we covered this year that took us on a journey to where we are today Perhaps you can identify with these topics as you too have been on a journey of discovery with the results of a deep inner work of the Holy Spirit in your life,

  • • Abiding in God  -The Call to Intimacy and Fellowship
  • • The exposure of Leviathan -nesting in our thought life, attitude and issues
  • • Our weapons of warfare-  breaking concepts to fight with His nature
  • • His strength – How the Lord speaks daily to impart strength for our daily need
  • • Breaking cycles -dealing with life’s patterns that keep us going around in circles
  • • Principalities and Powers -How to avoid becoming a causality of war.
  • • Spirit of Truth – exposing veils that eclipse our vision of Christ to walk in truth.
  • • Team Leadership development – allowing others to speak into our lives
  • • Father’s Heart – The Lord is establishing fathers and mothers of the faith
  • • Healing  the Past – The Holy Spirit healing past wounds and failures
  • • Mobilizing prayer – the establishing of watchmen and prayer

Like a military training camp, those who successfully navigate through the gauntlet are weeded out from those that are fearful and lack purpose and discipline. These chosen vessels are refined like silver and gold having gone through the fire. This is the Gideon army, the chosen few that are riding on the glory train resting in the Lord. In order to move forward, we must leave the baggage of the past behind that weighs us down.  The Holy Spirit is relentlessly dealing with our personal issues to be all that we are called to be. Because of the times, it will take faith and being drenched in God’s love to walk into our future. As we abide in God with a love for truth, we will walk in the light as He is the light.  Then we shall become one.

In His heart and love,

Roy Roden
