The Glory of a New Dawn

A new dawn is rising upon the Church with the glory of God. Churches in response are learning how to cultivate a Kingdom culture that attracts and host the presence of God. God has placed the church in a state of preparation to provide a harbor of safety where people can be established in their true identity that promotes life giving relationships. It is in this atmosphere of freedom where the bond of love for God and for one another prevails that attracts and sustains God’s power and presence.

A transformation is now taking place in preparation for the coming outpouring. This will not only prepare the Church to host and sustain the Lord’s presence, but to become a fortress of refuge for those in need of healing and restoration as well as to provide equipping centers in preparation for the harvest. In light of this, I would like to repost a timely prophetic word that I gave in Sept. 2001.

The Glory of a New Dawn

Just before dawn I sat on the eastern slopes of Cadillac Mountain eagerly waiting for the Sun to rise. It is said that the earliest rays of sunlight in America first touch the Peak of Cadillac Mountain. Cadillac Mountain is located in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor Maine. From the State of Maine to Florida, it is the tallest Mountain on the eastern seaboard.

The view from this 1,530 foot peak has lured artist and lovers of nature to this Island for centuries. Those who rise out of bed early and climb up to the summit before dawn, are among the first people in the United States to see the first rays of sunlight.  The eastern view where I sat overlooked the vast Atlantic Ocean as far as the eye can see. To the North on my left was the country of Canada.

The dawn came and with it the first rays of sunlight that slowly brighten the curtain of darkness that sat on the horizon. A few moments later a glorious soft glow became visible in the eastern sky that offered a glimpse of the Lord’s glory. A great peace flooded my soul as I viewed the majestic beauty of the sunrise that radiated the presence and light of God. I was not only watching a sunrise, but the rising of the Son of God upon this nation. The splendor of the first rays of visible light was glorious, profound and yet indescribable.

It dawned upon me that through this prophetic experience, I was watching the glory of God rise upon this nation in power and demonstration! Starting with Canada and throughout New England, the darkness of this land will soon experience the transforming power of the light of God’s glorious presence. A new dawn is rising upon this nation and God has not forgotten the Church or its people in Canada and New England!

Waves of Glory

As the sun peeked over the rim of the ocean with its first view of this nation, a powerful wave of God’s glory was released. It was as if the sun sent out from its very core a tsunami wave of God’s presence. Like a rushing mighty wind, the invisible Spirit of God blew over the ocean in a path that went straight to me. Instead of the power of its impact overwhelming me, a wave of God’s glory went through me. This had a purging affected that left me clean and refreshed. It was an outpouring of His Spirit that bathed me in His glorious beauty!

I was not drunk in the Spirit nor did the wind of the Spirit overwhelm me. But in awe I experienced a cleansing transformation by the Lords’ glory. As the wind of the Spirit went through me, it deposited a glorious presence of His divine nature in me. The apostle Paul spoke of this transforming power of God’s grace in 2 Cor. 3:18 ” But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. “

As I beheld the glory of the rising sun, I was being transformed by the cleansing power of the glory of His Son. As the sun rose even in the sky, another outpouring of God’s glory was released with a momentum like that of a huge wave rushing to shore. Each wave released by the Sun held a greater intensity and power than the previous wave. Like the ocean waves that roll to shore, waves of God’s glory was released in a steady flow.

As the Sun rose higher the brightness of His glory increased and the waves of His presence became stronger. There is an outpouring of God’s glory coming in waves. This spoke to me that the glory of God will not only come in increasing waves but with increasing strength until the full tide of God’s glory is ushered in  “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Ha. 2:14).

From Glory to Glory

God has placed the church in a state of preparation for the outpouring of His Gory. The reason why it is coming in waves, is not to make our meetings better, or to make us feel better or to get carried away by the manifestations of His glory and power. The purpose of each wave is to prepare the Church to host the fullness of His glory for “In them has He set a tabernacle for the Sun” (Ps. 19:4).

If God was to pour out His Spirit all at once the Church would not be able to contain it. This is the wisdom of God that will prepare a people to sustain His presence. Thus each wave had a cleansing effect that will not only leave a

deposit of His glory, but prepare the people for the next outpouring. It is this cleansing effect with each outpouring that God is releasing to the Church that will enable her to go “from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord. “

Jesus -The pathway to Glory

As the Sun sat at on the horizon; it stretched a golden carpet of glistening light across the ocean that led to the foot of Cadillac Mountain. This carpet of light illuminated the pathway to the Lord’s glory. Jesus is the light – the Son of God that is the revelation of the Father. The path of the righteous always leads to ever increasing light. The path of life that is found in Christ will always lead the just to the glory of God rising in their life,  “But the path of the just is as the shinning light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day (Proverbs 5:18).

The glory of God is not only rising upon this nation, but the results of the new dawn will be the majestic revelation and beauty of His Son Jesus. As we gaze into the face of Christ we will bask in the light that illuminates the knowledge of the glory of God.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of the darkness, has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 4:6).

The glory of God radiates from His divine nature. In order for the Church to host His presence, she too must have His nature. God’s glory and His divine nature is the testimony of the presence of Jesus “Which is Christ in you the hope of glory” (Col 1:27). Jesus said that the Kingdom of God dwells in you! The kingdom of God comes in His presence that has His nature. Wherever you find the presence of the Kingdom, you will also find the reigning glory of the King!

One of the major reasons why Christians have experienced a long season of purging and pruning as well enduring numerous trials and tribulations, is because they are being forged by the Lord in His image to host His glory.

Establishing a Kingdom Culture

In order for the Church to attract the light of God’s glory, a Kingdom culture must be developed that sustains God’s presence. This requires an atmosphere of freedom where people can experience the presence of God and feel safe, loved and honored by the members of the Church. Believers will not open their hearts in a culture where they feel manipulated, controlled by the rule of men that prevents them from fulfilling their destiny as each one has been uniquely called and created.

Everyone is called to host the Lord’s presence that reveals the Kingdom of God in power and demonstration. But in order to attract God’s presence, Christians must be able to grow in an environment where they feel safe and loved where life giving relationships are developed. Life giving relationships flow through those that accurately recognize and honor their God given identities.

Every believer must have the freedom to find and establish their true identify, which is far from the way in which the world and the religious system may view them.  The church has an inheritance in Christ that is not of this world. Jesus died on the cross not only to provide the grace for eternal life,  but the grace to live in the freedom of who they are in God’s glorious presence in this life.

As a new creation in Christ we called friends of God, the bride of Christ, sons and daughters of God and Kings and Priest as joint heirs with Jesus. It is in this light that we are to recognize and honor one another for who we really are!  As Danny Silk mentioned in his book “A Culture of Honor” life flows through recognizing one another by our names and true identify. Creating a Kingdom culture enables believers to live as citizens in God’s Kingdom as heirs of their heavenly Father, “Who has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son” (Col. 1:13).

God loves His people and thus people must become established in the freedom of His love. There is no bondage in the Kingdom of heaven. Because Jesus prayer is for “thy Kingdom come” on earth as it is in heaven, we can expect for the atmosphere of heaven to prevail on earth as it is in heaven. The nature of heaven is that of Christ and His love. A church that cultivates love and life giving relationships will experience the nature of heaven in their midst.

It is the love of God that brings out the hidden treasurers in a person’s heart and makes them free to be who they are created to be. It is by being rooted and ground in Christ and His love – a love for God and for one another that attracts and hosts the presence of God. Knowing the breadth, length and depth and height of God’s love, is how the apostle Paul explains that the Church will be “filled with all the fullness of God (Eph. 4:19).

The very nature of God is love and those that abide in His love will abide in God and God in them. (1 John 4:16). Love is therefore the pathway that leads to hosting the Lord’s presence and His power. When the Father’s love is restored in the Church, it will usher in the manifestation of His glory to the Church.

A Habitation for the Spirit of God

Every Christian is called to ministry and everyone is needed “But now God has set the members every one of them in the body as it has pleased Him (1 Cor. 12:18). Paul tells us that a Church builds itself up in love when the members of the body of Christ fit together “join to joint.”(Eph. 4:16)  A joint is where two parts meet. As each joint comes together and every member is able to give life to another, the healing life of Christ will flow throughout the body. One of the main problems that exist in the Church today is that people are searching for who they really are and how they are called to function in ministry.

Because of this, the church is weak in manifesting the Kingdom of God in power and demonstration. To reverse this Christians must be integrated into the supernatural culture of heaven. Thus, to create a culture that attracts the presence of God Christians must be equipped in their gifts to minister in the supernatural power of God. To release the people in their gifts is to release the presence of Christ in their midst. A house that is in proper order where Christians fit and flow through life giving relationships that minister their gifts to one another, will build up the household of faith in love. (Eph. 4: 16)

There is an outpouring from God that comes from above and there is an outpouring from within that is released through the gifts of believers. Jesus said that out of the belly shall flow rivers of living water. This wellspring of life is released through the ministry of Spiritual gifts. The living waters that are released from within a believer attract the rain of heaven. This is one of the reasons why there is an outpouring upon a church that is known to have an open heaven.  When the people minister to one another life flows from heaven.

As the apostle Paul tells us, believers also make up the framework of the house of God. The goal of every Church leader is to build a house that is fitly framed together to become a “Habitation of God through the Spirit” (Ephesians 2:22). A house that is not fitly framed together is a house that is out of order.  As revealed in Ezekiel’s graveyard, when the dry bones come together bone to bone in their proper place, a shaking will take place. This means that a new order must be established in the Church even if it creates a shaking. As the people come together in their proper place, the Lord will breathe new life into His body and they will stand up on their feet with the breath of God as His living army.

In order for life giving relationships to properly developed, healing must take place in the body of Christ. The walking wounded must be healed in order for the church to come into the fullness of her ordained destiny. By creating a Kingdom culture where people are nourished in the love of God, a safe harbor is created where people can rest and receive the healing they need. If is for this reason, that Christ is rising with healing in His wings,

But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

With each outpouring there will be a measure of anointing released for healing. It is said that the majority of Christians do not attend a Church or fellowship. Many prefer to stay home rather than have their wounds exposed or suffer further damage. The Lord is now raising up those with the love of the Father with the ministry of hospitality. One of the greatest harvests yet to come will be those that are restored to the body of Christ. It is the heart of God in this hour to reach out to the wounded and embrace His prodigal sons.

In Summary

As the new day dawns, the glory of God will rise upon His people releasing fresh waves of an outpouring of His Spirit. Some of these outpourings will become movements that will restore truth to the body of Christ. Others will empower the Church to establish 24/7 prayer centers and the tabernacle of David to release the sound of heaven in worship. There is also coming an outpouring to empower the media to portray the gospel in creative ways. An outpouring is also coming to empower the dead bones to rise again with new life that will enable believes to come together joint to joint” to rise as God’s powerful living army. Other outpourings will be for healing and restoration as well as prophetic evangelism that will usher in a great harvest.

With each outpouring will come a cleansing in the Church by the power of the Lord’s transformation that will enable the church to go from glory to glory. Like the rising tide of the ocean, the outpouring of each new wave will cause the spiritual climate of the church to increase until the fullness of the tide of His presence is ushered in!  Along with this will come a fresh revelation of the love of the Father and His Son that will bring much healing that in turn will enable the Church to host more of His glorious presence to go from “glory to glory.”

There is a glorious future for the Church. As she walks on the path that leads to ever increasing light, believers will be filled with the life of God’s glory that manifest the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Christ in every place,

But thanks be to God who always leads us to triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place (2 Cor. 2:14).

As this scripture indicates, the knowledge of the Lord’s glory will be revealed in EVERY PLACE. Believers are called to change the spiritual atmosphere wherever they have an influence, such as in the marketplace, business sector, workplace, parks and malls in Kingdom power and demonstration. It will be the revelation of God’s glory that will bring in a harvest that will sweep across the earth until it affects every believer in every nation. This will increase in waves until the knowledge of the glory of God completely fills the earth

We are now in the dawn of a new area with the Son of God rising with healing in His wings. As the Lord pours out our His Spirit, by the cleansing power of transformation the Church will go from glory to glory. In preparation for this, a Kingdom culture needs to be established where life giving relationships attract and sustains the presence and power of God. Soon the glory of the rising of the Sun will appear until the fullness of a new day arrives that reveals the fullness of the glorious majestic beauty of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In our Father’s heart and love
