The Atmospheric River & Outpouring of Living Waters

Greetings,

I saw this report on the weather channel. It immediately spoke to me that this is a prophetic weather forecast. Notice the red L that prophetically stands for love that creates a pressure that collects a sweeping moist flow of God’s presence that is saturated with living water. Notice the green plum is in the shape of a shofar! The color green stands for new life.  It’s time to sound the trumpet call to drink freely of the dew of heaven.  To drink until you are so saturated with the Spirit, that rivers of living waters are poured out from your inner most being

There is a sweeping outpouring of God’s love coming that will rain upon this nation with life giving water. It is also this “severe “ alert that prophetically implies we must know both the goodness of God and the severity of God. We can be either filled to overflowing with His life, or swept away by the flood.

From the Weather Channel posted 11-28-12

Meteorologists use the term “atmospheric river” to describe a long, narrow plume that pipes deep moisture from the tropics into the mid-latitudes.  One type of atmospheric river (hereafter, AR) you may have heard of is the “Pineapple Express”, a pronounced plume tapping moisture from the Hawaiian Islands to the U.S. West Coast.  Amazingly, a strong AR can transport water vapor up to 15 times the average flow of liquid water located at the mouth of the Mississippi River!

Suffice to say, if an AR stalls over a particular area, significant flooding can result. In fact, a study in 2006 found ARs responsible for every flood of northern California’s Russian River in a 7-year period.  (Notice the prophetic pun- rushing in Russian river) That being said, they’re also important for western water supply considerations. The soaking starts Wednesday as the initial frontal system sweeps into the West Coast.

It’s Time To Drink Living Waters

This meteorological report speaks to me that the Lord is bringing to our attention the atmospheric river, the river of life that flows in heaven. This river is the current of God’s love – a continual flow of living water that flows from the heart of God.  From which we can drink freely as often as we please. It is the supernatural love of God from which His power flows. The door of heaven is open and we can enter to partake of His love at any time.  I believe this report of an “atmospheric river” is the divine invitation to rise up to worship the Lord in spirit and partake of the river of life that fills our inner most being with living water.

Just as the meteorological report states “Suffice to say, if an AR stalls over a particular area, significant flooding can result.” If we tap into the atmospheric realm of heaven by abiding in His love, we can sustain an outpouring of God. The result is the release of an outpouring that will cause a major flooding of God’s love in a particular area.  As King David declared,  “He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass; as showers that water the earth” (Psalms 72:6).

Jesus is the dew of heaven who said to the Samaritan woman at the well,  “If you knew the gift of God, and Who it is that says to you, “Give me a drink” you would have asked Him, and He would have given to you living water.” (13) Jesus answered and said unto her “Whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst again: (14) But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water that springs up into everlasting life.”

Within every born again believer is a well that Jesus desires to fill to overflowing with living water. Jesus is life. Even in the midst of a drought, those whose lives are in Jesus will spring up from within living water that will never run dry.  We are the temple for the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit – a habitation for His glory. Jesus said, “If any man thirst, let him unto me and drink” ( John 7:37).

  The River of Love

How do we tap into this river? By jumping into the river of His love! As we abide in love we abide in God and God in us! God is after a “heart to heart relationship with His bride- you and I.  He is not looking to see our good works, how much we are doing for Him, but how close we are to abiding in His heart where His love flows.

And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16).

As we open our hearts to love Him as a love sick lover, we access the heart of God and His unconditional love flows toward us like a river! It is this river that flows between the hearts of two lovers that fills us to overflowing with living water. It is this love poured out from our heart that has the power to touch others with His life.

“…Because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given to us” (Ro. 5:5).

Our heart is the gateway to receive the life that is in God’s love and the gateway to releasing His love that brings life to wherever the river flows! His love brings the cleansing truth that washes away our sins and sets men free.  It is the truth of God that flows from the Father’s heart that renews the spirit of our mind, the faith that works by love.  Our quest is not to grow in stature by seeking more power, but to grow up in His love from whom all power flows.

What we say reveals the river  we are drinking from! Are we drinking from the river of life or bitter waters? Are our motives pure to bring others to the river of God, or are we directing them to our own well due to spiritual pride that masquerades as wisdom? The heart of man is the Eastgate from where rivers of living waters are received from the throne of God and from which rivers of living waters flow. This is why the scripture tell us to   “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23).

BE YE FILLED

Do you know what the perfect will of God is? The apostle Paul tells us “Wherefore be not unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is “…be filled with the Spirit.”  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Eph. 5:15-19).

The term “be filled with the Spirit” refers to a continual infilling! Not just a drink now and then but a continual infilling that comes by abiding in His presence that works by love. It is not a one-time deal but the river we swim in that comes from living a life of worship until we become worship! As King David declared, we come into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise (Psalms 100:3) King David possessed the heart of a lover with a raging passion for God’s presence. To  which God honored declaring David was a man after His own heart.

David knew that worship was the pathway to God’s presence telling us that in His presence there is fullness of joy and at the Fathers right hand, there are pleasures forever more (Psalms 16:11) The key of David is a lovers heart that has the power to access the heart of God for communion and fellowship.

One of the most powerful of all spiritual weapons is worship. Thanksgiving offered as a sacrifice of praise will not only refresh our soul with His presence, but is our salvation from spiritual oppression and attacks. When we enter into the heavenly realm anything that is not of heaven cannot enter in! Therefore in all things “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving (Psalms 95:2).

As a new creation in Christ, our spirit was created in God’s image to partake of His glory that we may be clothed in light that exudes His love and life on earth as it is in heaven. Thus fulfilling the prayer of Jesus for “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” The perfect will of God is to be filled to overflowing with the life of His Spirit for the Kingdom of God, Jesus said, is within you. When heaven touches us, we become as He is in heaven, for heaven comes in His presence. Thus, heaven is revealed on earth through His people. It’s time to drink of the atmospheric river to pour out life giving water to those who are thirsty.

As we are filled to overflowing we become the outpouring. We release the Spirit that touch the lives of others from the overflow. Jesus said, “He that believes on Me, as the scripture has said, out of His belly shall flow rivers of living water.”  This outflow of living water is the result of the infilling. A river flows when we release the life that is ours in Christ to others. In doing so, we open the floodgate of heaven simply by becoming the channel for the river to flow.

Thus, it is more blessed to give than to receive. It is by giving that God gives to us more. We receive according to the measure we give. As we abide in God’s presence, from the place of intimacy a river flows that fills our well to overflowing to release the dew of heaven. Jesus proclaimed as written in Rev. 22:17,

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let him that hear “Come.” And let him that is thirsty come, and whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

The Radiant Ones

The Lord is empowering His “radiant ones” with the light of His glory. These sons of thunder shine as the light of the stars of heaven that are made in their honor. Their words issued from the realm of heaven have a sound like the clap of thunder. Thus, as we align our heart with the Fathers, His Words flow like a river that is confirmed by signs and wonders. Dianna Lord, a watchman that is a member of our SNOW team (Strategic Network of Watchmen), sent me this definition of “radiant.”

RADIANT ra’-di-ant – “to sparkle” i.e. be cheerful; hence (from the sheen of a running stream), to flow, (International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)

EXASTRAPTO – The Greek word for radiant is “Exastrapto” which means to send forth lightning, to flash out like lightning, to shine, as radiant of garments (New Testament Greek Lexicon of King James verso)

NAHAR in the Hebrew the word for radiant is Nahar – which means to shine, beam, light, to burn to beam, to be radiant to flow, to flow as a stream (Old Testament Hebrew Lexicon King James Version)

Notice the English, Greek and Hebrew, all refer to “radiant” as a beaming light that shines like the sheen of a running stream. Have you ever seen sparkles of light dance upon the water?

We have all witnessed the glistening sunbeam that streak across the ocean that reflects the Sun as it rises above the horizon. A new dawn has risen and those who drink from the river of heaven will glisten with a radiant light that is a reflection of Christ

“which is Christ in you the hope of Glory” (Col. 1: 27).

In His Image – The Pulse of God

The love of God pulsates from His heart. As we connect with the heartbeat of God, His love pulses through our veins with His  life giving presence. His love enlarges our heart that imparts the more abundant life of His peace and joy to our soul. While many are trying to imitate the character of Christ, we become as He is as we behold His glory. Because He created us in His image, true transformation comes from abiding! Our true identify does not come from our doing, but simply by our being!

Jesus is the “I AM.” He is not the Lord of yesterday or tomorrow but the Lord of the moment. To abide continually in His presence becomes a spiritual reality when we walk in the faith that He is with us in the NOW moment of time. He is ever present and we can be ever present with Him. I have learned by simply allowing Him to be present, His Spirit shines from my inner most being that clothes me in glorious radiant light. Abiding comes as the result of resting!

John also states that as He is in heaven so are we on this earth. (1 John 4:16-17) We were created in His image to be as He is – that of love and light full of grace and truth. Jesus said that God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit (John 4:24). Thus, being born again is the gift of salvation that enables our spirit to behold our creator where we become as He is. Through the cross we are able to find our true identity as manifest sons of God. Jesus is the “I AM. “ Because He is the I am, I am as He is “for we are partakers of His divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4).  I love what the apostle Paul declared when He said,

“In Him we move, live and have our being… for we are also of His offspring (Acts 17:28).” Wow – that’s the reality I want!

The Eastgate for His Glory

Because Maine sees the first rays of light as the Sun rises upon this nation, Maine is considered to be Eastgate for the glory of God to rise upon this nation.  I have met a number of people who believe they have the authority with the key to unlock the Eastgate for the King of Glory to come in. To whom I would say “Please use it!” Many believe they have done this through intercession, a prophetic act, or by making proclamations, but nothing has really changed! Where is the evidence I ask?

The evidence is in Jesus who unlocked the east gate at Calvary when He said “It is finished” and the veil of the temple was rent. Through His blood, we can boldly come before the throne of God at any time.  It is through Jesus death, burial and resurrection, that He holds the keys to life and death and the key to the house of David. To the angel of the Church in Philadelphia, the Lord addressed saying,

These things says He that is holy, He that is true, He that has the key of David, He that opens and no man shuts and He that shuts and no man opens (Rev. 3:7).

We cannot open something that is already open for Jesus is the gateway to the Kingdom realm. He is the way, the truth and the life. There is now an door open in heaven that the apostle John saw (Rev. 4:1), This door has never been closed. Jesus has bypassed every name, every principality and power to take for Himself, dominion over all things. From the place of victory, He knocks at the door of our hearts, where the true east gate now lies. God’s love is the key to unlocking the heart of a person for the King of Glory to come in.

We are the temple for the Holy Spirit. Collectively as the body of Christ we are the House of the Lord for a habitation for His glory. (Eph. 2:23) The prophet Ezekiel saw a time when the Lord came from the east and entered into the east gate of the temple and The Glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord” (Ez. 43:1-4)

We can lift up our heads in worship and the King of Glory will come into our midst, especially to fill our hearts with His love, for God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3).  The key of David that we possess is that of a lovers heart. The heart of a true worshipper can rise in spirit to God who is a Spirit, to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.  We enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. This we do through the door that Jesus has already opened.

The Lord admonished His people through the prophet Isaiah stating  “Rise and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen Is. 60:1). Notice the verse states that our light HAS come and His glory HAS risen. While people are looking for an event to come, the Lord is looking for those to be with Him in the present moment of time!

As we open our hearts, the Lord will come in through the east gate – the entryway to our heart to fill our temple with His glory.

The eye of the Lord is searching for those with a lover’s heart that have a passion for intimacy with Him. Worship brings us into His presence and opens the portal of heaven for the King of Glory to come in. The Father is coming to His house and He will fill the hearts of His people with rivers of eternal love.  King David declared,

Lift up your heads, Oh ye gates and the King of Glory will come in. Who is this King of Glory” David ask? “The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of Glory (See Psalms 24:6-10).

As Ezekiel saw, it was from the house of the Lord filled with His glory, that rivers flowed out towards the east to water the region with His life giving presence. (See Ez. 43:2 and 47:1-8).  The Holy Spirit that was poured out on Pentecost was never retracted by the Lord. What we need is an infilling with the living water of God’s love to be become the outpouring that flows out from the house of the Lord that reveals His glory.  Again, to restate what I said earlier, Jesus said,  “He that believes on Me, as the scripture has said, out of His belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

This outflow of living water is the result of the infilling.  We release the river of life that is ours in Christ to others. In doing so, we open the floodgate of heaven simply by becoming a channel for the river of His love to flow. It is these living waters that will become the outpouring through a people that are filled with God’s love. As the people lift up their heads towards the Son in worship, His light will rise upon them and their face will shine with the light of His glory just as it did with Moses.

There is now an apostolic vision to build the house of the Lord’s by His wise master builders. (1 Cor. 3:10) These master builders will build according to the blueprints of heaven. This house consists of the members of the household of faith. As each member finds their place in the body of Christ as God has set each one, and they are fitly framed together according to their gifting and call, collectively they become a habitation of God that will attract and host His glory. (Eph. 4:19-23) When this takes place, the body of Christ will build itself up in love until the church comes into the fullness of Christ as the “All in All”. (See 1 Cor. 12:13-18, Eph. 1:16 & 4:16)

This house, I believe, is the Tabernacle of David that God will restore in the last days, which is a worship center for all nations. And because it is a house of prayer and worship, the glory of the Lord will shine brightly in their midst. It is this light that will attract the nations to come to the light of the house (lighthouse) where the Kingdom of heaven itself is revealed on earth. Thus, the heart of a church filled with the love of the Father is also the east gate for the King of Glory to come in.

After this I will return, and build up again the tabernacle of David, which is fall end down: and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up. (17) That the reside of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom My name is called, says the Lord who does all these things.

God is returning to establish His house that will host His presence and He will do this through His people.  These are the radiant ones that shine with the light of His glory. These are the ones that release rivers of living waters from the infilling that touch the lives of others with the realm of heaven. The reality of heaven comes in the presence of Christ that reveals that He is the risen Lord and savior in the power and demonstration of the Spirit just as Jesus did (See Acts 4:33).

The heart is the east gate, the entryway for the glory of the Lord to come in to fill our temple with the light of His living presence. As the household of faith is rooted and grounded in Christ and His love, rivers of living water will flow out of God’s house that will water the region with the rain of heaven.

Messengers of Fire

John the Baptist declared when He saw Jesus approaching, that He will baptize the people with the Spirit and with fire. Those whose hearts burn brightly with the flame of God’s love will become messengers of fire. The fire that burns within them is the Fathers love that radiates from the furnace of God’s heart.  Our baptism is both a complete immersion in His Spirit and His love, for God is love.

As we abide in God who is love, we will hear His voice that has the truth that washes us with the sanctifying water of His word (Eph. 5: 26). It is His word that comes from the heart that has the cleansing power to transform the hearts of men. It is this anointed truth spoken in love that makes men free. It is His truth that is the light that opens blind eyes to see and His truth that penetrates the hearts of men that reveals the love of God and the reality of who He is to them.  Thus, the coming outpouring of God’s love will also wash away all impurities for a cleansing that paves the way for more of His presence with a fresh infilling.

Those who have a love for truth, will not only hear His words, but also receive the life that is in His Word. Jesus is life who said that His Words are Spirit and they are life (John 6:63). It is His word in our heart that is the manna of life.  It is His words sown in our hearts that bears the life of His Spirit. We are vessels of life. Our call is not just to preach or teach about God, but to be vessels for the living Word to speak through us. As we stand in His presence He will anoint our words that they may bring life to those who have an ear to hear what the Spirit says.

Jesus said that to see me is to see the Father. Our call is the same, which is for others to see the Father by the love that we have for God and His people. These are the radiant ones whose lights shine brightly in the darkest of time. So much so the prophet Isaiah foretold that the light upon them will become visible, “The Lord shall rise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you” (Is. 60:2).

God Is Doing a New Thing

A new day has dawned. The morning Sun is now rising and kissing the dawn of a new day with the light of God’s glory.  The atmospheric river is now flowing and it is saturated with the dew of heaven. God is doing a new thing with the result that the river that flows through God’s people, will cause the desert to bloom and prosper.

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert (Is. 43:18-19).

We cannot do the new thing in the old way! We must learn how to take a vertical position for this glory is not like the previous glory. This glory demands an alignment of Heaven and earth by those aligned with the heart of the Father. It is this alignment with the Fathers heart that we can be properly aligned with one another by those who are seated with Christ in the heavenly realm.

it is from above that the Father can release that which He has prepared to be revealed on earth.  When we are aligned properly with the Father’s heart and with one another, we will do the same works that Jesus did. Even greater works will we do in the power of the Spirit that reveals the realm of heaven on earth. It is from the heavenly realm that we can impact the earth with the nature of heaven. As sons and daughters of our creator, we have the creative ability to bring forth, that which is not, to manifest the Kingdom of God in the power and demonstration of the Spirit.

 It’s High Time

And that, knowing the time that it is now high time to awake out of sleep… The night is far spent, let us therefore cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light (Romans 13:12,14).

It is high time to RISE and worship God in spirit for God is a Spirit, to where heaven itself is the very breath that we breathe. It’s time to be filled with His Spirit to overflowing to become the outpouring where rivers of living waters flow from our inner most being. It’s time to abide in God who is love, so that our hearts are enlarged with His love that reveals His heart to a lost and dying world.  It’s time to RISE and SHINE as the Lords radiant ones with the light of His presence,

“Giving thanks unto the Father who has made us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light” (Col. 1:12).

As we are filled with His Spirit, our light will shine – which is the radiant presence of His glory. People will come to our light to receive the life that is found in Christ.  As we come together as one to partake of the atmospheric dew of heaven, we can become so saturated that the latter rain will flow through us. Let us stall the atmospheric river so that it will flood, not only our entire being, but also the region with living water.  Then, the Lord shall come as the latter rain and the former rain.

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord; His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain and the former rain upon the earth (Hosea 6:3).

 In Summary

The atmospheric river is the river of God’s love that flows from His throne. As we step into the atmospheric river we become saturated with the dew of heaven. It is from this infilling that we become the outpouring. It is from our inner most being that rivers of living water are poured out to give life to a dry and thirsty region. To shine as the radiant ones that reveals the sheen of His glory to a lost and dying world.  This is the will of God for every believer, which is to redeem the time and be filled with the Spirit for out of your inner most being will flow rivers of living water.

Living waters flow from the heart that overflows its banks with the sweeping love of God. His truth has life with the cleansing power to transform the hearts of men. It is the truth spoken in love by those whose hearts burn brightly with the love of God that opens prison doors and sets the captives free.

You are called for such a time as this. Rise and shine manifest sons of God and be filled to overflowing with the Father’s love to release the river of life that others may drink of the living waters of Christ freely.

Yours in His heart and love,
