The power and message of Easter is this, “He Has Risen.” And because He has risen, He has raised us up to be seated with Him in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6). Through the atoning work Christ on the cross, we enter into the heavenly realm as partakers of His glory. We ascend in worship and descend in His presence that bears witness of His glory. Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. You are called for greatness that reveals the glory of the Lord. Through Christ death and resurrection, you are empowered by the Spirit with resurrection life that is your inheritance in Christ (Ephesians 1:18).
The testimony of Jesus is not just in word, but also in deed. Thus, you become by your very life, the embodied testimony of Christ that prophesies to the world that Christ has risen. You actually become the revelation of God that testifies that Christ has risen and is seated victoriously on the throne. Just as Jesus was a revelation of the Father when He walked the earth, you are a living testament of Christ victory over all the powers of darkness. This was the message of Christ Disciples as recorded in Acts 4:33,
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and great grace was upon them all.
How do we give witness that testifies that Jesus has risen and is Lord of Lords and King of Kings? By the supernatural life that is ours in Christ. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, and set the demonically oppressed free. It is the very heart of God that you do the same works that Jesus did. In doing so, the spirit of prophecy testifies that Christ has risen that reveals God’s great love for the world.
The revelation of Jesus always leads to knowing the heart of the Father, and as we take on His heart, we see that which He is doing, to do the works that we are called to do. As we hear His voice and speak His Words as Jesus did, the Holy Spirit will anoint them. As we partner with the Lord, He works with us that reveal His resurrection life in resurrection power conforming to the world.
And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming His words with signs following (Mark 16:20).
The Easter message is not only the celebration of Christ victory upon the cross, but also the witness of the resurrection life of Christ displayed in and through His people. It was this message of Christ resurrection in demonstration and power by Christ Disciples that enraged the religious leaders who persecuted them.
You may not be called to preach but you are empowered to witness. Whether it is in business, as a homemaker, in politics, education, the government, military or some other vocation, God has a purpose for you. Within you is the greatness of Christ to shine with the light of His presence that reveals that He has risen and you are alive in Him. This is the message and power of the cross.
It is this message of the cross and the resurrection of Christ that will once again be preached in the power and demonstration of the Spirit that will reveal the love of God for the world. It was the prayer of Jesus on the night of His crucifixion, for the Father to give to those who believe on Him, the same glory that He received that they may be one as He and the Father are one, (See John 17:20-26).
I in them and you in Me, that they may be made perfect and that the world may know that you have sent me and has loved them as you have loved me.
Rise and Shine
Friends, we have been given the gift of eternal life. You are called for such a time as this to RISE IN THE LORD’S RESURRECTION POWER THAT REVEALS HIS RESSURECTION LIFE THAT THE WORLD MAY KNOW OF CHRIST AND HIS GREAT LOVE. The message of Easter marches on each and every day. The call is to,
“Rise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and grows darkness the people, but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you. And the Gentiles shall come to your light and to the brightness of your rising (Is. 60: 1-3).
The results as the above scriptures states, is that people will flock to you because of the brightness of His glory that clothes you in His light. They will come because of the love of the Father that shines in your heart imparted to you from the Father’s heart to yours. And with His heart, you will minister His life from the place of intimacy in the power of the Spirit that testifies that Christ is alive and sits on the right hand of the Father. In doing so, like the ministry of the apostle, great grace will fall upon those who have ears to hear the gospel message.
A Prayer of Thanksgiving
To the one whom I love and adore and worship – the Lord Jesus Christ. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for your that not only redeemed me from sin, but imparted to me a life to be free from the power of sin! And I thank you for drawing me up by your resurrection power to be seated in heavenly places with you.
In you I have found my life to know the riches of the glory of the inheritance as a partaker of your great love. And for the awesome privilege to host your presence, to hear your voice and to know your heart that keeps me on the path of life. Thank you for becoming my sacrifice for sin and redeeming my life that I may be filled with your resurrection life within. To God be all the glory and honor,
Your adopted son by grace – Roy Roden
