Spirit to Spirit Connection with Abba Father

When Jesus instructed Nichodemus about the Kingdom, He taught that unless a man is born again of the Spirit, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. To see means to have spiritual vision. Jesus also said that unless a man is born of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God, for that which is “…Born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (See John 3:1-6).

It is His Spirit that makes our spirit alive unto God that we may SEE the things of the Kingdom. Being born again enables our spirit TO ENTER into heavenly places. It is not our intellect or emotions that are born again, but our spirit that is awakened for intimacy with God. Intimacy may be defined as “Into me you see.” Jesus came to restore us back to our original creative purpose, which is in God’s image and likeness. As the apostle Paul said, “The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Ro. 8:16).

Because God is a Spirit, He created mankind for fellowship from the very beginning, which is to be as He is – clothed in the light of heaven being filled with His grace, majestic glory and truth. Jesus is the resurrection and the life that died on the cross for our sins. Not only to receive the grace for eternal life but for fellowship in spirit with our heavenly Father who is a Spirit in this life. We were created in the beginning for a “spirit to spirit” connection with our creator. Thus, the plan of salvation is not only for eternal life, but the redemption of our spirit for an intimate “Spirit to spirit” relationship with God in this life.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love by which He loved us. Even when we were dead in sin, has quickened us together with Christ, (alive with resurrection spiritual life) for by grace are you saved. Who has raised us up and has made us to sit in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:4-6).

True Spiritual fellowship

Since the gospel of Christ was preached, the message of the Kingdom has been substituted for religious practices, principles and formulas and activates that are called ministry. Many Christian events are designed to be social activities. Thus, many gather for fellowship with one another, rather than gathering around the Lord’s Table for fellowship with our heavenly Father. The true joy of fellowship comes from our spiritual connection with God where His life flows. It is when our spirit is ignited with the life of God that we are able to ignite one another with the presence of the Lord. As the apostle John knew,

“…For truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full” (1 John 1: 4).

The hearts of many long for this but have not been taught how to soar in the freedom of the spirit where there is fullness of joy that comes from being in His presence. As King David knew, “In your presence there is fullness of joy” (Ps. 16:11). This present hunger will drive the hearts of many to the secret place of God’s presence to abide under the wings of the Almighty (Ps. 91).

When you taste of the heavenly realm, nothing else will do, nor should it! What many call “being led by the Spirit” is an occasional prompting for direction that validates their spirituality. God’s passion is to bring us to the place of abiding in Him, so that wherever we go, our life is in Him “In whom we live, move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). It was the prayer of Jesus for the Father to give us His Spirit that we may become “As one” as He is with the Father.

And the glory you have given to me, I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one. I in them, and you in Me that they may be made perfect as one, that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them as you have loved Me (John 17: 21-22).

The world cannot know of the realm of the Kingdom of heaven until a people arise in spirit to become one with God in heaven. It is here from above where His authority and rule is demonstrated on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus told His disciples that in order to serve Him they must follow Him, “For where I AM there will My servant be also”  (See John 12:26).

A true servant will be found where He is, which is at the right hand of the Father doing that which the Father is doing speaking the words the Father is saying. And in doings to, they reveal from the place of abiding in the Spirit, the love, rule and authority of the King – the place of true unity that comes from being one in the Spirit with the Father and His Son.

Messengers of Fire

The Holy Spirit is relentlessly heralding us to return to our first love for the “Spirit to spirit” connection to cultivate a “heart to heart’ relationship with the Lord. Intimacy takes place when our spirit is connected to God who is a Spirit. Again, God created us in His image for a Spirit to spirit relationship. The trumpet call to “come home” as a new creation in Christ is now being heard through these messengers of fire.

I have seen such a thirst and hunger in Christians for the things of God. The reason is because the pathway of many takes them everywhere except to the Lord Himself. When the focus of our spiritual life is on doing rather than being where our spirit connects to God in Spirit, we will always miss the place of His habitation where we find rest in is presence.

The purpose of every move is to compel men to walk with God until they are more at home in the heavenly realm than the earthly realm. What aborts the fulfillment of the more abundant life in Christ is the lack of intimacy with God that comes from the spirit-to-spirit connection. It is this connection that enables us to move in His supernatural power. Much of the present lack of supernatural power is due to the lack of intimacy.

Jesus always did that which He saw the Father doing, and He spoke the Words He heard the Father saying. Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers and set the oppressed free. (Luke 4:18) He did this from the place of His Father’s presence. BECAUSE OF HIS INTIMATE relationship with the Father, the Spirit moved through Him with signs and wonders. It is this fire of God’s love that Jesus shared with the Father in spirit that enabled the Holy Spirit to accomplish His Father’s will on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus instructed the Church to do the same saying.

And as you go, preach, “The Kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils, freely you have received freely give (Mathew 10: 7- 8).

The commission of Christ is to preach the gospel message of the Kingdom, which is at hand. The reason the Kingdom is at hand is because the Kingdom of heaven above, and the Kingdom of God in you, are one and the same. This takes place when we are connected in spirit with the Father who is Spirit. This is the bridge that connects heaven and earth where angels ascend and descend, and where the light of heaven invades earth. It is through His people that walk in the Spirit that host His presence that the light of heaven shines for all to see.

The message and emphasis of Jesus was always the Kingdom of God. His focus was not on Church life, increasing Church attendance or strategies for advance. As a teacher, Jesus demonstrated and taught through parables the Kingdom is like unto… Why disciples of the Kingdom? Because His Kingdom is a spiritual kingdom and it is the Spirit that brings life, the flesh profits nothing.

Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the Kingdom of Heaven is like a head of a household, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old (Matthew 13:52).

Jesus did not make disciples by imitating other men; nor did he teach with an emphasis on doctrine, or have a focus on a particular denomination or movement. Jesus demonstrated “the Kingdom of Heaven” with signs and wonders and in doing so; He made disciples of the Kingdom. What Jesus did He also taught and demonstrated. Using the  “show and tell” method of making disciples, they were able to do the works He did in the power of the Spirit. Jesus emphasized they were not to become disciples of the things on earth, but the Kingdom of His Father in heaven. Likewise we are to do the same.

The Path of Life

The Wisdom of Solomon tells us that the path of the just is like the Sun. As we walk in the light of His presence, we will rise to shine more and more until we become radiant like the noonday sun (Proverbs 4:18). The barometer of our spiritual life is measured by the light of His glory that we carry. It is not our Biblical knowledge, gifting or size of our ministry that measures true growth, but the ever-increasing light of heaven manifested on earth.

Something is amiss when we continually pursue God’s blessings, divine favor and provision rather than the Kingdom of heaven itself. Something is missing when we attend worship events, ministry programs and church activities that lack the manifest presence of heaven with signs and wonders. The Holy Spirit will always show up during times of worship and the times we gather, for where two or more are gathered in His name, there He is. This is the grace of God but it is not the great grace that fell when with the disciples ministered the gospel of the Kingdom with great power that testified of Christ resurrection (Acts 4:33).

Something doesn’t add up when we do the same things the old way and call it the new. When the Kingdom of heaven is present all things become new for whatever heaven touches becomes alive with His presence. Could it be that we have our own version of “spiritual life and ministry” that is a substitute for the Kingdom life and power that comes from a ‘Spirit-to-spirit” connection with God where our daily lives are filled with the light of His love?

Is this what happened to the Church at Galicia when the apostle Paul asked, “Who has bewitched you?” It is evident that this people began their life in the Spirit, but ended up doing the work of ministry through the flesh. (See Galatians 3:1-5) The Spirit of witchcraft enters anytime we substitute the Spirit of God and His wisdom, understanding and power, for our own insights, reasoning and works. Even our good works can be an offense to God when it is not carried out in the power of the Spirit. God wants us to do things with Him not for Him.

When we are born again, we are born again of the spirit whereby we cry “Abba Father.” When this happened to me in 1977, I saw a vision of heaven and my heavenly Father said to me, “Welcome home son.” At that moment I was filled with the love of God that enabled me to fellowship “spirit to Spirit” with God. My heart immediately responded to His love as I cried “Daddy!” I knew then that I had come home and that I had been delivered from the power of darkness and “translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son” (Colossians 1:13).

The scriptures tells us that God is love and those that abide in love abide in God and God in Him. (1 John 4:16-17) God is perfect love and those who connect with Him in Spirit, become as He is, that of love. It is this “spirit to “spirit, connection with the Father, that makes us one in heart and spirit “But He that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit” (1 Cor. 6:17).

We have the Holy Spirit, who is our helper to HELP carry out the will of the Father as we abide in His presence. I have found such fulfillment, joy, peace and fellowship through this divine connection “For we are partakes of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). It is here in His presence that my soul is overshadowed by His glory that transforms the inner man that renews me daily with His life. All we need is found IN Him. To be IN Christ means to be in His presence, for He is the life of heaven. This is the path that King David knew who said,

You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Ps. 15:11).

When our spirit abides in His Spirit, His love fills us with the life of His presence. Jesus is life. It is His Spirit that heals our spirit that brings healing to the mind, heart and soul. His Spirit also restores us to our true identity as a new creation in His image to be who we are created to be,  “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Cor. 3:17).

As the Wisdom of Solomon declared, “The spirit of a man is the candle for the Lord” (Proverbs 20:27). It is by abiding in His Spirit that our spirit is ablaze with the light of His presence. Where you find His light you will find His resurrection life and love. Jesus admonished us to let our light shine for all to see. This light is not our good works, but the light of His presence. Our call is to “Rise, shine for your light has come” (Is. 60:1). Shine on for we are “partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light” (Colossians 1:12).

Seek Ye First The Kingdom

There is a hunger among Christians that propels them to engage in activity that promises divine provision, prosperity, redemption, and favor. When Jesus was on the cross He said, “It is finished.” There is nothing more to do. It is through the covenant of His blood, that all of these things are ours! Jesus said if we will seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, all these things should be ADDED unto you (Mt. 6:33). The addition flows when we connect with heaven itself.

Jesus said that it is the Father’s good pleasure is to give us the Kingdom. God’s provision, divine favor, health and healing, is freely ours as the result of abiding IN Christ for the abundance of the Kingdom of heaven comes in His presence. We often have not when the focus of our heart is on the things of the world, rather than abiding in Christ from whom all blessings flow.

To abide in Christ and His love, places you in the heart of the King. The call is to abide in His love and host His presence that clothes us in His light.  It is here in His presence where the Kingdom of God becomes our life. It is this life of the Kingdom that yields its provision with favor to the children of the King. All things are released to us as we abide IN Him. As the apostle Paul declared,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings IN heavenly places IN Christ (Eph. 1:3).

Let the River Flow

Turn on the kitchen faucet and water flows. When your spirit abides in God’s Spirit, the living waters of God baths you in the dew of heaven. You cannot take a shower or jump into a river without getting wet. Likewise, as we dwell in heavenly places where our spirit is soaring in the heavens, we connect to the river of God that flows from His throne and the Lamb of God.

And He showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb (Revelation 22:2).

This is the living water, the life that is found in Him. Perhaps instead of seeking the “addition” to our life we need to abide in His presence where all spiritual blessings flow. It is here in spirit that the waters of life flow freely to us that bubbles up and bubble over from within that brings life to those around us.

The results of intimacy with God connect us to the flow of living waters from His throne that fill our inner most being. It is through this “spirit to Spirit” connection with God who is a Spirit that refreshes us with the dew of heaven. His life fills our inner most being with living waters. This is what Jesus meant when He said, “Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living waters.”

Without this connection with heaven, we become a dry and thirsty people. Always seeking but never being fulfilled. Tasting a drink now and then, but never arriving to the place where we overflow our banks with the healing waters that has the power to transform lives and our cities.

The Lord is doing a new thing. He is making a way in the wilderness that will release rivers in the desert that will give a drink of living water to His people that will bring new life in the desert of their lives.

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people.

We are the channels God is using to release living waters throughout the earth that will enable the world to spring forth with new life. Its time to let the old ceiling of our understanding be removed and come to a higher level. Its time to remove the cataracts clouding our vision of the Kingdom that we may enter in the river of life. In doing so, we will become empowered to release the rain of heaven upon the earth. This is how the prayer of Jesus for “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” will be fulfilled. Its’ time to become so saturated with the dew of heaven, that we become a rainmaker.

Fresh Fire

We are in a new season for the old has passed away. That which once worked is longer relevant. There is a remnant now rising in spirit to the throne of God. Quickened by the power of Christ resurrection they are not satisfied with the traditions of men for their hearts long for the heavenly realm. God is anointing His own with fresh fire – the fire of His love that comes from an intimate “spirit to spirit” relationship “For our God is a consuming fire” (He. 12:29).

Their passion is to release the Kingdom of heaven within God’s people. As the sons of thunder they are answering the call (Mark 3:17). Soon we will hear messages anointed with fire from the heart of God who has made “His ministers a flame of fire” (He. 1:7). These messengers have the fire to see the bride of Christ return to her first love – the Lord Jesus Christ. To see the restoration of all things as in the beginning when Adam and Eve walked with God.

Lets go from self-seeking to that of abiding. And from the place of abiding, give to others that which we have freely been given. Jesus said the Kingdom of heaven is at hand, and that’s how close it is for it is “Christ in you the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27).  As we connect in spirit with the Father, we will see with His eyes and speak the words that come out of His mouth. This is the Word of life that waters the earth with the life of His presence  (See Isaiah 55:8-11)

You will know them by the joy of the Lord that rest upon them and the peace of God that prevails with them. This is what all of creation has been waiting for, the manifest sons of God that reveal heaven on earth. All of God’s creation recognizes its creator. When mankind is filled with His Spirit, all of creation will recognize the manifest presence of God who created them in His image and in response, they will clap their hands,

“For you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing and the trees of the field shall clap their hands” (Is. 55: 12).

Do you hear the clarion call? Rise and shine for your light has come. The presence of the Lord will become visible by those who rise to shine with the light of His glory and the gentiles of the nations will come to the light of your rising. (Is. 60:1-3). Rise in spirit and connect with your Father in Spirit, and you will find your greatest hearts desire – His presence with fullness of joy.

Blessings in our Father’s heart and love,
