Aligning With Heaven To Abide in His Presence

Fireheart4 In the last article “Spirit to Spirit” connection, we talked about how God is a Spirit who created mankind with a spirit to be clothed in His glory In this article, we are going to do a short review and discuss how we can align with heaven to be present with Christ at all times. (These articles are excerpt from a book I am writing called “Manifest Sons Arise”). The heart of the mater is just that – the heart.

God is a relational person with a heart. His hearts greatest desire is for His people to be where He is – in His presence. He loves you and I so much that “God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son” to make a way for us to be present with Him at all times.  Our salvation is not only for eternal life, but to be present with Him in this life. Heaven is our home. The key for a dynamic spiritual connection is by developing a “heart to heart” relationship with Him.  Central to the person of Christ is His heart from which all life flows.  His desire is that we access His heart to know the joy of His fellowship to enrich our lives with His resurrection life.

King David tells us that we enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Thus, many have learned that worship is the pathway to His presence. But – worship is the just the launching pad that enables our spirit to soar into the heavenly realm to fellowship with God who is a Spirit. As Jesus said, “God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must do so in Spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). In order to know His truth, we must learn how to worship Him in Spirit. In doing so, we are able to enter into a new level of intimacy, that of knowing His heart where His truths are revealed to us by His Spirit.

As the apostle John saw, a door is standing open in heaven. “I looked and there before me was a door standing open in heaven (Rev. 4:1) This door was opened when Jesus said, “It is finished” and the veil of the temple was rent.  We are called to go up and go through the door into the heavenly realm where Christ sits on the throne.

Even when we were dead in sins, God has quickened us (spiritually made alive) together with Christ, (by grace you are saved Who has raised us up together and made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:5-6).

We are not only called to worship Him, but to be seated with Him in heavenly places. One of the passions I have is to help people set their spirit free to rise as an eagle to soar in the heavenly realm. This is easy simply because the resurrection power of Christ has been released to raise us up. We just need to learn how to fly! It is here that we see the one who sits on the throne.

Being seated with Christ enables you to be in His presence at all times. As priest we minster to the Lord but as Kings, we rule with the Lord. It is here in His presence that we know His heart where His thoughts, passions, and hopes and dreams are revealed to us. To be seated with Him is to know Him. It is here that we rule with Him in the heavenly realm to rule with His authority, wisdom and understand within our domain on earth. As we shall see, the pathway is that of love.

A NEW HEART

When you were born again, God not only placed His Spirit within you, but He gave you a new heart – His. The Lord tells us,

“A new heart also will I give to you: and a new Spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you… (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

While many focus on purifying their hearts before God, our Father also wants our heart to be connected to His. It is by being filled with His “Holy” Spirit that makes us Holy.  It is from His heart where pure rivers of love flow that wash away the debris. (Rev. 22:1)  It is this river of love that flows from the center of His heart that enables us to be filled with His living presence. The Kingdom of God comes in His presence. Because God is love, to be filled with His love is to be filled with His Spirit,

And we have known and believe the love that God has to us. God is love and He that dwells in love, dwells in love and God in Him (1 John 4:16).

Do you remember when you first fell in love; how your eyes meet the one you loved? In that moment as they gazed into your eyes, suddenly, you felt connected to them! At that moment you bridged the gap of your heart to theirs by the “love connection.” This is what connected your spirit to theirs.  As you spoke; the words ushered from your lips carried with it the thoughts, affections and passion of your heart!  When you sat together without saying a word, you knew that you were in the presence of the one you loved and they were present with you.

Without words, your body language, facial expression and tone of voice and gestures, expressed the thoughts of your heart. The love that filled your inner most being radiated on your face that made your face shine. In this moment you also felt elevated, energized and renewed by the very love communicated between you and the one you loved. Such is the power of love – it is life giving. Such is the power of God’s love that makes our face to shine with the radiance of His glory.

Friends, you are God’s beloved who desires a “heart to heart” relationship with you. This is why Jesus said, “Where your heart is there where you be also.”  We can be where He is anytime our heart desire.  His love is freely given. The tree of life in the Garden of Eden is the very person of Christ. We can eat of the fruit of His love anytime. You cannot separate His love from His person.

It is through this “heart to heart” relationship in heaven that you become as He is on earth – that of love, “Because as He is in heaven, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). And thus, the very tree of life that you partake of in heaven becomes a tree of life that grows in you “For it is Christ in you the hope of glory” (Col 1:27).  And in return, others will pick the fruit of His love in you that imparts eternal life. The seed that you sow is His love that has the power to transform even the nations.  This is the love of God that cast out all fear – the love that never fails.

While being born of the Spirit enables you to see the realm of the Kingdom, it is your heart that enables you to personally gaze into the heart of the Father. When our hearts are connected with His, unity takes place where we become one. It is here that we hear His heart that reveals His thoughts to our heart. It is this “heart to heart” relationship of love that places us in the center of the realm of heaven itself where Christ sits on the throne at the right hand of the Father.  As Jesus told His disciples, it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the treasures of the Kingdom. There is no greater treasure on earth than knowing the heart of God .

Being Where He Is

He loves to share His thoughts that we may know His mind. He loves to share His passion and feelings that we may know Him personally. God is a Spirit with a heart – a heart filled with love larger than the universe itself. The amazing thing is that His desire is that we know Him intimately to experience the reality of His person that empowers us with His presence.

True communion takes place when we not only hear His voice, but the place where we become one with His purpose. The word communion means to come into union. When His heartbeat becomes ours, we will always be where He is. Jesus said,

“If any man serve Me, let him follow after me; and where I am, there shall my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my father honor” (John 12:26).

To follow Christ means to know that which He is doing in our lives, our family and community, and from the place where we are seated with Him, rule with His authority within our sphere of influence.  This not only places Christ in the center of our lives, but our lives in the center of His will. This can only take place when our heart is in union with His. Jesus does not want us to do things for Him but with Him!

Many believe because they are engaged in Church activities and functions, they are doing the will of God.  Thus service becomes a matter of duty rather than a ministry that comes from a union that reveals the heart of Jesus. We are able to be where He is when we lay our heart on his bosom to hear the heartbeat of His passion, His purpose and His feelings that we may know Him and His ways.

When Moses asked God to show him His glory, the Lord revealed to Moses His heart. It was this revelation that transformed the heart of Moses that enabled him to lead the nation of Israel with the heart of God. When Moses saw the Father’s heart, the love that flowed to him transformed not only His heart, but also his entire being. So much so the light of God’s glory was visibly seen upon His face.

As we gaze into His eyes, we see the deepness of His eternal love.  As we peer into His heart, His heart becomes our own.  It is the revelation of His heart that places us in the right season of His will. It the revelation of His heart that enables us to be aligned “heart to heart” with heaven to fulfill His purpose.

The Knowledge of Him

It is for this reason that the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation delights to enlighten the eyes of our hearts in the “knowledge of Him.” It is this knowledge of Him that imparts the understanding of the hope of His calling and the riches of His glory that is our inheritance. (See Eph. 1:17-19) The apostle Paul tells us that it is with the heart that man believes unto righteousness  (Romans 10:10).

It is not with the mind that we see God, but with our heart. It is not our intellect filled with the knowledge about God or the Bible that enables us to be as He is, but the transforming power of the Spirit that enlightens our heart in the knowledge of Him. To know Him is to experience Him.   Ask God to show you His glory and He will to you His heart. As He reveals His heart to you, you will be changed into the same image that will take you from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord,

But we all, with an open face behold as in a glass the glory of the Lord, and are changed inot the same image that takes us from glory to glory, even by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Cor. 3:18).

Experience thus trumps knowledge. It is this revelation of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit through Scripture and our personal fellowship with Him, (including prophecy, visions and dreams, angelic visitations, trances and so on) that enlightens our hearts in the knowledge of Him.  As His revealed Word becomes ours, we become transformed by the power of His Word that renews the spirit of our minds with His life.  But if you do not know the heart of God, all you will have is knowledge about God, and as Paul declared, “Knowledge puffs up but love edifies” (1 Cor. 8:1).

When our hearts are connected to His, no matter where we go or what we do, we can do so in the light of His presence. Thus, we find the reality of the Kingdom of God manifested in our lives that arises from the place of His presence. Remember, the Kingdom of God comes in His presence. Wherever He is and you are there with Him in Spirit united with one heart, the Kingdom of heaven is present. It is in this divine state of being where the heavenly realm is revealed on earth through a people in union with Him through a “heart to heart” connection.

When our hearts are aligned with heaven, and our minds are renewed by His thoughts that arise from His heart to ours, we come into the place of alignment. It is this alignment that reveals His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within you. Thus, the Kingdom above and the Kingdom within, when we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realm and He is seated on the throne of our heart, become one and the same.

The results of this third level synchronism with heaven, enables God’s people to walk with an open heaven. It is this divine connection that enables the spiritual realm of heaven to be open over your existing situation.  It is this “Bethel” experiencer created by those connected with heaven, that enable the angels to ascend and descent upon God’s people as they did with Jesus (John 1:51).

It is this “heart to heart” relationship where true communication flows from heaven to earth.  Those who learn to walk in this realm, become agents of change as they not only host the presence of the Lord, but shift the atmosphere within their sphere of influence with the nature of heaven.  Instead of praying up, they pray from the realm of heaven down. Instead of making petitions, that declares His Word that arises from His heart. If we wish to see more of heaven revealed on earth, we must be seated with Christ in heavenly places. And if we want to move in the power and demonstration of the Spirit, we need to develop a “heart to heart” connection that reveals the heart of the Father on earth through a people that walk in love.

You cannot walk in the Spirit in fellowship with God until you abide in His love.  This is the secret place that King David knew who learned to abide under the protective wings of God who overshadowed His life with His presence. It is the Lord’s presence that is our shield and buckler and protection. We abide in God when we rest in His love.  This is the faith that works by live. Thus, you will find those who are in union with God, walk in His peace, love and joy, for the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy IN THE SPIRIT. (Ro. 14:17)

To Know the Love of Christ

This is why love is so central to true spiritual growth – it leads to His heart where we are nourished by the revelation of His person that invites us to a new place of experience – knowing Him. As the following verse indicates, we can know Him by EXPERIENCE, which surpasses knowledge that we may “comprehend” in our heart the revelation of Him. True revelation is a heart issue, not a mental concept!

To know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God” (Eph. 3:19).

How are we filled with the fullness of God? By knowing His love. The quality of any relationship is based upon the quality of communication. Love is the nature of God and love is the factor that creates a strong bond of intimacy for clear communication where His life is imparted to us.

When the Lord comes, it is to draw us into a new place of intimacy. God is a lover who loves to love. It is through our passionate love for Him and His unfathomable love for us that enables us to fulfill our destiny IN Him. As the apostle John shared,

“That which we have seen and heard, we declare unto you, that you may have this same fellowship with us: for truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you, that your joy may be full  (1 John 1:3-4).

It is from the place of fellowship with the Lord, that we are able to know the true joy of fellowship with one another. It is from the place of intimacy with the Father and His Son that enables us to have a pure “heart to heart” relationship with one another. I believe that we are now in a season where God is awakening hearts by the power of His love. A people that shine with the heart of God will bring much needed healing to the body of Christ.

Jesus came that we may have the more abundant life that enriches our lives with His love. And from the place of intimacy, enrich the lives of others with His love. We are truly called to be life-giving manna to one another “ And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit with is given to us  (Romans 5:5).

It’s all about God’s family – a caring family where the Spirit of God inhabits the hearts of His people with an abundance of love. Friends, let your light so shine with the love of God that is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. In doing so, you will release rivers of living water that will bring healing even to the nations “ all it takes is consciously directing your heart into His love.

“And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ” (2 Thessalonians 3:5).

How do we direct our heart into His love? Simply lift up the eyes of your heart to heaven and set your affections on Him. Express your love to Him with your very life and entire being. In doing so, the river of His love will be poured out upon you. Again, where you heart is Jesus said, will determine where you are?

If then you are risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:1-2)

Divine Alignments

There is a company rising with the heart of David. David had the heart of a lover with the spirit of a warrior. He was known as a man after God’s own heart.  Literally, David always enquired to know the Lord’s heart in all matters. Because of this, he discovered the secret place of the Most High where he dwelt in the Lord’s presence. (Ps. 91) It is here that David saw a vision of Jesus on the cross two thousand years before Christ was crucified. Seeing the mercy of God for sin, David applied the heart of God for forgiveness to his own situations. David knew how to align himself with God’s heart and from the place of humility and repentance,  rule victorious with divine favor as King over the nation of Israel.

Likewise, the Lord is strategically connecting His people that are aligned with the Father’s heart that He can build His Kingdom upon. David’s band of misfits went through a process on the backside of Israel where they fought against the enemies of Israel. Likewise, there is a remnant of freedom fighters banding together that have gone through the training that know their God and they will do great exploits.

When David became King, the faithful and loyal men of David’s company were promoted as leaders of the army and rulers of the Kingdom. The favor of God is now promoting many. God is now shuffling the deck that will reveal His hand that will trump all that is established by man. The Lord of host mighty in glory is coming to His house.

We are living in the times when it is crucial that we find and network with those that are aligned with the heart of God in the heavenly realm. It is this network in the heavenly realm aligned with the heart of the Father that God is birthing a new thing upon the earth. We are seen new ministries released from heaven with an outpouring of fresh fire upon those that network together in the heavenly realm.

The hand of God is removing every obstacle that stands in the way of fulfilling our destiny. Every relationship that hinders the call is being pruned. Thus, it is imperative that we recognize and align with the relationships that impart His life to one another. It is these “heart to heart” relationships that we need to cultivate and network with. “As one” the Lord will move upon the earth through those who are in unity with His heart. Once again, we shall see new life spring forth in the midst of darkness as in the beginning when God saw the earth was void and in darkness.

Today is a new day for Christ has risen and His light has come. Let your light shine with those you are called to network with. Seek His heart and soon you will have the desire of your heart. The favor of the Lord is now rewarding the faithful, the just and the loyal, with the real treasure of heaven – the Lord Himself.
