When Jesus walked this earth, He brought heaven with Him. Heaven comes in His presence. When you were born again, you received not only Christ into your heart, but also the Kingdom of heaven. Because Christ is King of His Kingdom, within His people is the very nature of the Kingdom. Jesus is the life of heaven – the manifestation of His glory that shines within for it is “Christ in you the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27). This is why Jesus said,
”Behold, the Kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21).
Jesus is the light of the world who commissioned His people to let their light shine. The glorious light of heaven that reveals His glory is to shine in you! This is the passion of Jesus who instructed His disciples to pray for, “Thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.” Wherever Jesus rules as King, you will find the nature of His Kingdom. The power, peace, and freedom of heaven is our inheritance IN Christ for we are partakers of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4).
We are created in His image to manifest the glory and nature of heaven itself. Everyplace the light of God shines is your domain to rule with dominion as a good steward of His Kingdom. Everyplace where His light shines, life will spring forth. This light comes from the place of intimacy where we are filled with His living presence. Thus, our main call is intimacy with God who seeks for a “heart to heart” relationship. It is truly a matter of the heart that we may be one. It is from the place of His living presence as we abide in Him, that we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28). It is from the place of His presence that we do life.
Jesus established life’s priority when He said, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…” As we place our affections on things above, the person of Christ is revealed to us (Col 3:1). Because the truth is found in the person of Jesus – the life that is in His truth is our inheritance. This is how the nature of the Kingdom is cultivated within us. Jesus said the words He speaks, they are spirit and they are life (Jon 6:63). As we hear the truth, His truth makes us free. As we see a glimpse of His nature, the eternal life that is the nature of Christ is imparted to us. His life has the power to transform our inner man to be as He is- full of life, light, grace and truth.
For this reason, the apostle Paul prayed for the Father of glory to impart the Spirit of wisdom and revelation that our hearts may be enlightened in the knowledge of Christ “that we may know the riches of the glory of His inheritance that is to abide in the saints” (Ep. 1:17-19). Jesus said it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. That which exists in heaven is to be nurtured and cultivated within. The inheritance of His Kingdom is ours IN Christ!
Jesus as the second Adam, obtained the victory that restores us to the original blessing and covenant given to Adam and Eve. The Father issued the blessing with the commission to “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it and have dominion…” (Ge. 1:28). It is from the place of Christ victory, that we are empowered to rule with Kingdom authority within the sphere of our domain, which is our Eden. Greater is He that is in you, then he that is in the world.
God is love and those who abide in love abide in God (1John 4:16-17). Because love never fails, those who cultivate a love for the Lord, a love for His truth and His ways, find their light in Christ increasing with the radiance His glory. Rather than look for an event to come, seek daily to be rooted and grounded in Christ and His love – the one that is ever present. Paul tells us that we come into the fullness of God, by knowing His love that is eternal, ever flowing and ever expanding (Ep. 4:17-19). Love is the pathway that leads us to the fullness of God.
As we walk in love, His truth, His light and His love transforms our very nature to become manifest sons of the Kingdom of heaven. A manifest son is one who touches the realms of earth with the life of heaven that reveals Christ in the power of the Spirit.
It is the light of His living presence that reveals Christ is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. By the Spiritual life of Christ that fills our inner most being, we are endowed with the grace to minister in power that gives witness to the testimony of Jesus (Acts 4: 33).
We thus give thanks unto the Father, who has made us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son (Col. 1:12-13).
With thanksgiving, we give praise to the Lord as in expression of our citizenship of the Kingdom of heaven. As King David said, “We enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise (Psalms 100). In doing so, we shall see the one who sits upon the throne. Here in His presence, the light of His living presence fills us to overflowing.
I leave you as always with Is. 60:1, “Rise and shine for your light HAS come and the glory of the Lord HAS risen upon YOU! Shine on!
In His heart with galaxies of love
