Last October while at Moravian Falls, NC, I made a visit to where the prophet Bob Jones is buried. In honor of Bob, I wanted to thank God for his ministry. Bob was a spiritual father to many. His message and ministry always drew you closer to the heart of Abba Father and His love., Bob went to be with the Lord on Valentines Day in 2014. He was a lover of God who carried the mantle of the Fathers heart. The core of His message was intimacy with Abba Father and walking in love. It was fitting for God to take Bob home on Valentines Day.
On that warm day in October as I stood looking down at Bob’s memorial, I sensed a whirlwind of angelic activity taking place. The area is known to have an open portal of heaven for which I am familiar. As I walked across the field to return to my cabin, I felt an impartation-taking place. Something happened and today I am different. Such is the power of honor when we honor our spiritual fathers.
During one of Bob’s visits to heaven, Bob was asked THE question we will all answer in regards to our life on earth, which is this, “Did you learn to love?” We can have large ministries that impact nations, have great influence, move in prophecy, and have all knowledge, but without love, we are nothing (1 Cor. 13:2). The Lord was not interested in Bob’s deeds, his works or his ministry, but his heart. Bob’s heart was always after the Lord’s heart that He might know Him!
Those who love also forgive. The test of love is to maintain a pure heart. We are thus admonished to ”Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23). A hardened heart poisons the mind, but forgiveness brings renewed life that gives peace of mind. There is nothing more desirable than Him, the one who loves us with an eternal love that has no breadth, length, depth or height. Think of God’s love like the Universe that expands in all direction- love without end. To be filled with His love to overflowing is ours for the asking.
Being raised in a dysfunctional family and a Vietnam Veteran, not to mention the issues that leaders face in ministry, I have experienced deep wounds and scores of trials and tribulations. I thank God for His love. Time and time again His love would melt my heart like a hot flame on wax. His love transforms my heart that enables me to walk in the right spirit – His. God’s love empowers me to love others with His love to touch others with the life of His presence (Ro. 5:5). He is who we are to be- that of love for the divine nature of God is love (1 John 4:16-17).
We are at the dawn of a new era. In 2014, Bob received a word on Rosh Hashanah that a fresh baptism of fire has begun that will baptize God’s people in the Father’s love. This baptism of fire will transform hearts by the power of His love. It will be this baptism of fire that cleanse our vision to give us a more perfect view of the Father’s heart and His great love. To those who receive an infilling of His love, will also receive an impartation of His glory. From this “heart to heart” fellowship of intimacy, we shall see as He does – in this we will become one (John 17:21).
With His love imprinted upon their hearts, like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, the Church is about to soar in the freedom of the Spirit. A bride that is so intimate with Jesus, she will radiate with the light of His love that reveals the beauty of His glory. It will be an outpouring of His love that will bring revival. It is the light of His glory that will attract many to the light of their rising. Here in His presence, they too will be transformed by His love to carry the light of His glory with the power to transform cities and nations.
The call as always is “Rise and shine for your light has come and His glory has rise upon you” (Is. 60:1). In other words, let your love flow!
