Are you experiencing a deepness-taking place in your inner man? A powerful shift is taking place to bring your entire being into alignment with God for a whole new level of intimacy with authority. This deepness impacts your emotions, heart and thoughts. While God is contending for you, at the same time the adversary is opposing you. He opposes you by getting you lost in your own thoughts, emotions and issues. Thus, his tactic is to create strife and discord in your inner most being to keep you from going higher. By bringing you captive to the emotional and mental realm, his purpose is to keep you under. Thus, inner strife and discord is his weapon of choice. However, God’s love, peace and joy is stronger and more powerful. God’s love is the weapon from the arsenal of heaven that will be his defeat.
The reason for this feeling within is “Deep is calling unto the deep. ” Like King David, you may feel that waters of affliction have gone over you (Psalms 42:7). While the waves of God are about to roll in and overflow you with blessings, like an undercurrent, a riptide is trying to pull you out to sea where you become lost in your own vision, purpose and intentions. The result between these two forces often creates a tension within. The Lord allows this to happen, as it is the very driving force that compels you to seek the Lord’s face. God is drawing you into His presence where the victory is not only won, but because of the battle you have become much stronger, wiser and closer to the one you love.
Our present contention leads to our ascension through the power of Christ resurrection, that creates a momentum for our breakthrough.
The Lord is pulling a remnant of believers into another direction and dimension. Not satisfied with present spiritual conditions, those who respond to the call are on fire for Him and they shall have their desire – Jesus for He is their reward. To these God has branded an expectation of a New Day. Being free from selfish ambition and self-promotion they have learned from their mistakes that has left them with an addiction for His presence. Having laid down their lives for the gospel, they have captured the eye of the King.
God calls these faithful ones His friends and He shares His heart with them as He did with Abraham. The God who doesn’t need their counsel is asking for their opinion. With the Father’s heart, they walk in unity with Him to fulfill His purpose on earth and thus, they have the kind of influence that can change a region.
A remnant is now rising that will stand and speak with authority as Elijah did. Graced with the Elijah anointing, their passion is to see restoration take place in the body of Christ as noted in Malachi 4:6, “And He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers…”
Being free from the accuser of the brethren, these are God’s wise master builders He calls repairers of the breach “And they shall build the old waste places: and shall raise up the foundations of many generations, and you shall be called, The Repairers of the breach, The restorers the paths to dwell in” (Is. 58: 12-13, 1 Cor. 5:10).
Entrusted with the word of reconciliation, (1 Cor. 5:19) they are given the authority of Jeremiah “…To root out, and to pull down and to destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant (Jer. 1:10).
In the midst of the greatest darkness when it seems as if the world is falling apart, in reality the earth is in a collision course with the God of wonders. The earth will soon witness the greatest wonder of all – an unprecedented outpouring of His Spirit. As in the beginning, out of the midst of chaos and confusion, the Lord’s Spirit is about to display before the world the wonders of His power. In the midst of the greatest darkness, His light will shine brighter and He will do all of this through His people that rise and shine with the light of His glory.
As deep is calling unto deep, know that you are being pulled into the brightness of His rising. As always, the call is to, “Rise and shine for your light has come” (Is. 60:1).
